MAMA HOT POT Buffet — Restaurant in Đà Nẵng

I recently visited Mama Hotpot Buffet in Da Nang on 24th May 2025 and overall, it was a pretty decent experience.

The place offers a wide variety of meats—beef, pork, chicken—all fresh and thinly sliced, making them perfect for hotpot.

The selection is impressive, and the quality of the cuts is good for the price point.

The environment is clean and spacious, with a comfortable atmosphere.

They have a decent range of sauces you can mix to your liking, which adds to the fun of customizing your meal.

However, I felt the soup base could use some improvement. While they offer several options like mushroom, Tom Yum, and Sichuan, the flavors were somewhat mild and could be more robust.

Enhancing the soup bases would elevate the overall dining experience.

One thing I noticed was the lack of snack options and desserts like ice cream.

Adding a few more side dishes and sweet treats could make the buffet more appealing and attract more customers.

For the price—299,000 VND per person on a weekend night—it's worth it. You get a good variety of meats and a pleasant dining environment.

With a few tweaks, especially to the soup bases and dessert offerings, Mama Hotpot could become a go-to spot for hotpot...

I DO NOT write google reviews… but this place is absolutely horrendous.

I want to preface that the workers here are not at fault, that said, the owner at this restaurant is horrible.

Ingredients missing: the place literally “ran out of peanut sauce… what type of hotpot restaurant runs out of peanut sauce??

No cups and no water: they ran out of usable cups, and the only water they offer is bottled water that you need to purchase

Messed up our order: First round they don’t bring out many of the items we ordered, then second round after not being served they said they had lost our order and we had to order again.

Its clear many locals and tourists frequent this establishment for their hot pot cravings, and it did not disappoint. They have a menu that explains each item in vietnamese and english, and the ordering system is very intuitive. This made it very easy for me to order my meats and veggies. It was really cool that they also had soft drinks Al la carte as well as deserts. The only area I think they can improve is in monitoring their sauce station and replenishing used items.
