Mr Hung Homestay is not really a homestay but a hybrid of a hostel, restaurant and tour agency. They cooperate with lovely chị Giang across the road for renting out motorbikes. Prices are fair and they have some nice activities such as pingpong and billiard tables. The service is friendly; however, it seems to be company policy for the waiting staff to greet guests with a big smile and a loud "Hello, my friends!" (Ironically, this is the extent of the English many of the waiting staff speak.) I'm sure they intend it as a friendly gesture, but in my culture this is super cringe and rather took me aback. The other criticism I have is in reference to the information on the loop. We received a paper map and a few lunch recommendations and that's it. We would have loved to also receive information on what temperatures to expect across varying altitudes, how the constant up and down would likely affect the amount of gas the motorbikes require. I understand that Vietnam is extremely informal and laid-back but a few well-placed hints already would have done the trick. Another problem we faced is that our cell phone provider, Vietnamobile, didn't work in the highlands. You must get Viettel if you want to stay connected. Would've been nice if somebody had told...
Read moreFrom start to finish, this experience was absolutely fantastic! The booking process was seamless, with smooth communication via WhatsApp. The team promptly answered all our questions and concerns, making the entire process hassle-free.
On the first day, after a detailed briefing, we set off on our ride as a group of eight. Our lead rider, Toan, was excellent—his guidance and briefings were clear and helpful, ensuring we felt confident on the journey. A special shoutout to my rider, Hau, who was an incredible rider and made me feel completely safe throughout.
The food was abundant, with hearty lunches and dinners that kept us energized. The dinners, in particular, were a highlight—great company, delicious food, and, of course, plenty of “Happy Water” to keep the fun going!
The only minor downside was the delayed start on the first day. We were instructed to meet at 07:45 but had to wait longer than expected for the briefing to begin. A little extra sleep would have been nice!
Overall, everything else was top-notch. A truly memorable experience, and I highly...
Read moreMy friend and I came here for a late dinner and ordered a bruchetta and a margarita pizza to share.
You cannot expect Italian food to have the same quality as in Europe, yet we were okay with what we got.
The food wasn't amazing, but it wasn't bad either. The bruchettas were made with fresh tomatoes, but lacking overall flavour. They use toasted white bread as a base.
The margarita pizza was sadly something that was of a deep freezer quality with a lack of flavour. I recommend that if you order a pizza here, go for something that has toppings! The crust however was nice & crunchy and it held itself when you picked a piece up.
Service is kind and helpful, yet needs to be alerted in order to get something.
They have plenty of condiments on the table and cutlery as well.
The restaurant is definitely more expensive than others, yet for us this was fine for one evening. The highlight was probably the bruchetta, and then add some dark vinaigrette and pepper as...
