Wandering through a heavily commercial area to find this felt like a pilgrimage —one willing to make for a non animal eater in search of spices, depth and flavor.

• [Ambience] felt hushed and still, with only one other diner sharing the quiet. A tall young waiter greeted me with a glass of water and gentle conversation, assuring him sought only! the plant‑based offerings.
• [Eggplant Masala] arrived —tender orbs of aubergine adrift in a sea of tomato paste. Promise of spice and warmth, but what unfolded was a one‑note echo: tomato, tomato, tomato, without any layered spices.
• [Lemon Rice] a pale reflection of its vibrant self. Jasmine grains, tinted turmeric‑yellow, lacked the crackle of mustard seeds, the crunch of peanuts, the bright tang of citrus. Instead, discovered cubes of paneer—an unexpected companion, given my clear request to omit any animal products.
• When sent it back, there was no rippling of regret or apology—only silence & then remove the bowl.
In the end, nibbled unsatisfactorily on the masala, sipped water, settled my bill, and left —spirit and physical body still...

After many choices, we decided to head of to Om (Based in Ocean Park) We were greeted by such friendly staff that made us feel at home in no time. We ordered and I was eagerly counting down for the food to arrive, whilst waiting we were introduced to one of the owners, who casually sat down with us and made us feel even more comfortable! Almost 800k for a meal in Vietnam and this is what we get: hair in the rice, asked for cutlery but came with nothing to eat with, none of the dishes I ordered reached the “normal level of food standard”, butter chicken was dry. My bf and I have eaten a lot of Indian food and we both agree that this is our worst Indian meal ever.
