The Palm Craft Beer & Coffee — Restaurant in Hải Phòng

I visited Palm Craft Beer and Coffee twice, once in the afternoon and once for dinner.

The atmosphere is decent, and the restaurant is relatively new, attracting guests keen on checking in, taking photos, and changing outfits for more photos – a trend commonly seen in Vietnam.

I was impressed by the restaurant's extensive craft beer selection, both on tap and in bottles, including some unique wines and champagne rarely found elsewhere. One notable champagne they serve is Cattier.

During my first visit, I ordered a chrysanthemum tea with no sugar, but what I received was an overly sweet concoction that hardly resembled tea (-1 point). Staff were mostly absent, and I had to track them down to get my bill (-1 point).

On my second visit, I ordered crabcakes and a New Zealand grass-fed ribeye. While eating my crabcakes, the staff rushed to remove my plate, even though I hadn't finished (-1 point). When my ribeye arrived, it was well done on one side and medium on the other, something resembling shoe leather far from the medium rare I requested (-1 point). The staff member suggested a medium cooking temperature, showing a lack of expertise and knowledge in handling this type of steak. The rarer, the better except when there is a need to emulsify fat.

Throughout my meal, no one checked on my food, leaving me with the impression that nobody really cares at The Palm.

Spending over 1 million VND on a disappointing dinner, I felt it was a waste of money and time. The service was particularly disappointing, rendering the overall experience unsatisfactory. I won't...

The Palm – Craft Beer & Coffee is a must-visit if you’re in Hai Phong and love quality craft beer. They serve a wide selection of C-Brewmaster beers – from light and fruity to bold and hoppy. Every glass has a story. The fresh pizza, baked on site, is amazing – crispy crust, rich toppings, full of flavor.

The space is beautiful, green, and relaxing, perfect for unwinding with friends or solo. Staff are friendly and attentive, and the owner is incredibly kind and passionate about craft beer and hospitality.

If you decide to go visit Hai Phong as a foreigner, definitely give the Palm a try. The atmosphere was very soothing and relaxing. The food is just honestly delicious and I love the usage of Hai Phong food cuisine that they implemented into some of their foods. Although some of the foods maybe be more pricy than others, the load amount of deals you can get makes everything here very affordable.
