Ordered the ‘Full Breakfast’. Toast was done well to my liking. Very thinly crusted and internally still soft with a slight crispy feel. Hash brown was nice and crispy on the outside and stayed crispy until the end of the meal. Eggs was nicely made with a very nicely placed speck of salt on the yolk to give a pleasant surprise when you bite into it. That gave this dish a very different feel then other English breakfast. Portion was like they explain in the menu ‘Not so Full English’ breakfast. It’s enough to fill up an Asian stomach but at the same time not to overwhelm. May not be enough for bigger eater. Price wise? Well let’s say it was like some say, it’s a western menu and you pay western price. On this and due to some slight detail touches and attention the operator put into the dish I would say it was bordering to acceptable. A serving would bring you back by 169K. Also tried the cinnamon sourdonut. Something different. Unlike normal donut (which can be normally be overly sweet or creamy), this has a slight sour after taste (well the name explains it). A little dry but not too much. For a little girl to be very picky about what she eats to finish the whole donut without asking, kind of explains itself. Restaurant was an open concept at the ground floor (they have another floor upstairs). It was not Air conditioned but had enough fans running to keep the place nice and cool. I like the open concept as long as they keep it airy and cool. They also sell both beers and wine. On a late Sunday morning (about 9-10 ish) there where not much tables occupied so it was nice to lay back, relax and enjoy. This place is also at a nice quite area and they keep a nice background music running to keep the ambiance. Summary; food was acceptable, ambience good, service staff was very attentive and responsive. (They speak very fluent English as well). Location, nicely placed on a more quite area. One of the only handful of proper western style restaurants present in this general area (3-4 km radius). Price …. A little bit on the slightly pricey side (…..but all the plus sides kind of make it acceptable? ;). Well….. don’t expect good things to come...
Read moreWe have just got the most terrible service at Cafe Tartine which is next to Vista Verde.
We stopped by for drinks and learned it’s happy hour here so me and my husband ordered a glass of wine and a cocktail. Based on the information which is written down on the menu, that it’s buy 1 get 1 free for wine by glass and cocktails. My husband came down to order the second drinks and they informed him my wine, apparently was not on happy hour menu as it’s different promotion and changed couple months ago. He checked on Tartine Facebook page but could not find such information about this. This would not go downhill if the staff did not dare my husband to just leave bad review on Google and leave them as they were informed by their manager.
I came down and checked on them and he was on the phone with the manager and blamed the new guy to not being trained properly.
This could have been avoided if 1: the staffs are trained and there’s a proper communication 2: a manager in house 3: don’t dare a customer to give them a terrible review because hey, I am doing it now
This is not to mention that the service is incredibly slow, we ordered 1 wine ( which just needs to get poured out from a wine bottle, mojito and watermelon juice), And there was only 2 other customers here. So please tell me how come it took them more than 30 mins to make...
Read moreThe staff are friendly and attentive and always very helpful. The atmosphere is cozy and clean. They play easy listening English music in the background (not too loud).
There are two seating areas - downstairs (open air with fans) and upstairs (air-conditioned). They also happen to be pet friendly!
The food is absolutely delicious. I have tried (and loved) the chili con carne, pepperoni pizza, all their sandwiches, the ham and cheese bagel, and the smoked salmon and cream cheese bagel. I also love their desserts - the chocolate gelato, the brownies and the crème brûlée. Their drinks are great too. They have an extensive menu of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to choose from. Happy Hour is on everyday from 3pm to 7pm with your choice of cocktails, spirits, beer abs wine!
Overall, a very pleasant dining experience. I keep...
