Disappointing. Disappointing. Disappointing.

Sans for maybe 2 things, every other ounce of our experience was, yes, disappointing.

Was looking for a quick breakfast place for my family and my last day at Ho Tram. We were greeted at the front door by a gentleman who rushed us out of the (honestly way too big and way too fancy looking) restaurant. We were promptly shooed out of the restaurant and had seats outdoors pointed at for us. We took our seats outdoors. Turns out the place was going through something beyond our understanding, the lights inside were on throughout our time there.

The gentleman (who we eventually learned was either the owner or manager) then passed us some menus and we asked what they had. Their phở gà (chicken pho) was sold out, so we were told they had bún chả. We were craving some pork, so sure, we ordered 2 bowls of that (there were 3 adults and 1 child. One of the adults wasnt feeling too breakfasty). We also ordered 3 cups of cả phe sửa đã, and a strawberry yogurt drink for the young one.

Without a smile or a thank you, he whisked himself away to the back, only to do a double take to check on our orders again (2 orders of the bún chả despite the three adults?).

Shortly thereafter, the gentleman came back with table mats, iced tea, and utensils. 4 teas for the 4 of us (the young one's barely 8, and she definitely looks barely 5 - iced tea for a 5 year older? Couldn't they get water or something? Sidetracking here a bit), 2 sets of everything else for the 2 adults eating, and possibly some stink eye to the one not (caught a glimpse, maybe it was just me projecting. There was definitely some attitude).

Some time after, one of the waiters came to our table - a guy by the name of "Kevin Rogers". Kevin was the only saving grace in this meal. He was great. Profusely sorry, he told us that they'd run out of yogurt and they'll need to make the strawberry drink with cream. We were okay with that, but when the young one found out, she was not pleased. We ended up calling Kevin back (he came back with our dishes in the meantime) and requested a change of drink - we ordered the cookie milkshake instead.

So Kevin had our dishes and placed them in front of the 2 eating adults. Turns out we had ordered bún chả cá. Bún chả cá. Not bún chả like we thought. Bún chả cá. We ordered pork, we got fishcake. Disappointing. We brought this up to Kevin, who apologized yet again for the situations we were in, but there was really nothing he could do. This is when we found out the other gentleman (who in all honesty, screwed us out of a decent breakfast) was, in fact, the restaurant manager.

Luckily for us, no one in the party was allergic to any of the food here. That being said, one of us really hates dill. She had to suffer through breakfast. The adult who didn't want to eat had to. Everything was just going downhill.

The young one's drink came swiftly after, and she could barely finish it. It was disgustingly sweet, and barelyntasted of anything. For đ80,000, it was probably one of the most ripoff things I had ordered in Vietnam.

The coffees took a good 15 minutes. Coffee. 15 minutes. I don't take that long to make cá phe phin at home even whenneeding to boil water. I'd take faster making coffee with iced water! And the coffee! They might as well have used nescafe! It was the most disgusting cup of coffee I'd ever had! I've had better coffee bu the side of the road! I've had better coffeee made with corn! It. Was. Disappointing.

Oh, and did I mention that they only gave us 2 cups of coffee? 3 adults, ordered 3 cups. The manager did a double take to check on our orders of 3 cups of coffee. I guess it's a blessing they only gave us 2 - we'd have wasted the third cup anyway!

At least Kevin was gracious enough. He made our issues feel heard.

Again, this was a disappointing experience. It easily ruined our morning. Disappointing, disappointing, disappointing.

TL;DR: Disappointing food, disappointing price, disappointing manager. I reckon the 4 star rating is bought. Kevin, please quit -...

Big place! Very nice decorated restaurant, airy looking. Pretty tasteful food in my opinion. Talking about service staff there’s nothing to complain, I came in mid-day which is kinda sunny they came out with umbrella to welcome also when we leaving, I love that! About ordering and stuff, just a little slow when I first order rice, I came with whole family 15 pax and look up to the menu there just “Com Nieu” which is rice on list, and we don’t know there were bowl of rice, just when the manager - I think, came out and suggest we order a bowl of rice for faster service (thanks god he came out, before that we just know order Com Nieu on menu list which make pretty slow on seriving the food) I suggest that change the menu add bowl of rice on the list for better choice! Otherwise still goos service, staff very nice hope to come...

Mỗi năm xuống lại thấy chất lượng tệ đi. Năm đầu tiên xuống mình nhớ là tầm 2023, mọi thứ rất tốt, chất lượng dịch vụ , đồ ăn cũng rất ok. Hôm qua có ghé ăn trưa, lúc mới vào nhân viên tận tình che ô, gọi đồ ăn thì lên rất nhanh vì đa số đồ ăn là đồ dc nấu sẵn từ trước. Vì là đồ ăn nấu sẵn nên mùi vị của món ăn không được tươi mới và ngon. ( tới món trứng chiên thịt mà cũng phải làm sẵn từ trước đó, chứ không phải khách gọi mới làm) Trước kia thấy có nước miễn phí, hôm qua mình gọi thì nhân viên kêu chỉ bán chứ không có sẵn. Một bình trà như thế charge 79k. Nhà mình đi ăn thường mang theo khăn giấy vì có em bé, hôm qua mình có nhờ bạn nhân viên cất giấy đi kẻo em bé nghịch, tới khi tính tiền, bạn supervisor hỏi là mình trả lại khăn giấy không, mình nói có trả khăn và nhà mình không dùng khăn của nhà hàng. Tới lúc tính tiền, chồng mình chuyển khoản và không check lại bill. Trong bill vẫn tính 2 tờ khăn ướt giá 10k, mình có claim lại với bạn sup đó, thì bạn mang 2 tờ khăn ra đưa cho mình nói lỡ chuyển khoản rồi nên không làm gì được, cũng không nói xin lỗi vì mình làm sai hay như thế nào. Mình rất bực và đã để lại luôn 2 tờ khăn giấy đó cho cửa hàng. Tới lúc ra về nhân viên cũng không thèm che ô cho khách như lúc vào nữa. Đồ ăn ở đây không dở, nhưng so với giá thì quá đắt cùng với thái độ nhân viên , dù là supervisor nhưng cách xử lí tình huống thì thua nhân viên bình thường. Giá mắc ngang ngửa với ở trong resort mà đồ ăn thì không tương xứng. Đã từng đánh giá cao nhà hàng và review cho nhiều người nhưng từ giờ xin phép thôi. Với mức giá này vào runam , đồ ăn ngon, phục vụ chuyên nghiệp, hoặc không thì ăn ở resort. Hôm qua bực quá nên không thèm chụp lại hình, ăn trưa có 3-4 món hết 1tr và thêm 1...
