Absolutely fabulous experience. Our driver Hua (not sure if that's how you spell it) took us to the local market and showed us around. He had excellent English and told us lots of interesting facts about the food grown at the farm and in the local area. At the farm we were met by 'V' who was lovely and really funny. She had us singing and dancing. She showed us around the farm and all the different plants. We saw how they plant the crops. We then spent time making NG a variety of traditional dishes such as a banana leaf salad, spring rolls, rice paper rolls and rice flour pancakes. We then got to eat it! V showed us how to make the beautiful table decorations from vegetables and we had a go at it ourselves with varying degrees of success. All in all fantastic value for money, great food and really friendly people. I could have...

Then we went to his farm house which is nicely decorated with ponds and outdoor porch area for dining, cooking and chilling .. which overlooks the farms. The next four hours are packed with learning the herbs, farming a small patch of lettuce, foot and shoulder massage, cooking four traditional Vietnamese meals which we polished off. ( it would have been totally perfect if there was a nice bottle of wine.... idea for next time) USD30pp for half a day...

You can have a cooking class or just go for lunch at their restaurant. The staff was super nice and gave us an explanation about the eco village as well as a delicious food experience. Try to go early for lunch otherwise it is difficult to get a table. You eat overlooking the salad and veggie field,...
