I stayed at this hotel a few years back and visited again for a meal. Very nice view, some staff members very helpful, others just don't know how to behave. Big discrepancy so you never know what you get. Food was quite good but nothing to shout home about for a hotel of this class.
Fairly expensive overall (to be expected) but the worst part is their unfavorable currency conversion. You look at menus in USD, but the bill comes in ZMW at the hotel exchange rate which is far from the actual reality - in their favor of course. Convert that ZMW amount to USD and compare with actual market rate. You get ripped off 10-15% on that alone. Most people have no idea.

For the lunch service, we ordered three pizzas, which were all phenomenal wi the my favourite being the oxtail and blue cheese. We also got to overlook the Zambezi River which was cool.
For dinner, it was pitch black so we weren’t able to fully see the scenery. The atmosphere from the candle lighting was nice and romantic. The food was also amazing, especially the crocodile carpaccio which was sweet and lean. Unfortunately, there were many bugs on our tables because of the candlelights and flowers falling from the tree as there were no umbrellas covering the tables. And when I went to the restaurant to try and reserve a table the guards at the hotel grounds did not allow me to enter to see if they had a table as they had instructions to not let any outside patrons in. Apparently this place does not care about having potential customers....
