I’ll start with the positives: the service I received was wonderful could not fault it at all. The beef carpaccio was soo delicious 9/10 it’s amongst the better carpaccios I’ve had (which was a pleasant surprise), the chicken roulade was on special and very tasty, but the sauce it comes with did not do much for it, I preferred it with the garlic sauce I’d ordered for the steak. The steak came out a perfect medium which I can appreciate but lacked in seasoning I added more salt myself. Chips were good, side salad was good. The Brownie and toffee pudding were perfect tong ending and so warm and delicious! The prawns and beef skewers lacked in seasoning in general, but the aioli placed on the bottom of the dish added a hit of flavor making it slightly better but I was rather underwhelmed. The best place you could be at . One of the best environments in the depths of the Borrowdale Brooke mountains . Graceful to take walks and pictures with the space surrounding which is the golf course. We ordered The Focaccia to share in which it was a meal enough in its own right and enjoyed the dips it came with . Then, for the main, we had the Gourmet Burger and The Meat Feast Pizza, which were delightful, drinks, and mocktails, their ¼ chicken and fries for take away . Was just disappointed. I didn't get to grab enough photos to compensate for the day because our eyes were busy feasting as well . For a budget of 50+, you can have a good story to tell with their food and drinks . Just call beforehand because you might have some trouble at the gate of entry, but otherwise . It's a place I'd visit...

So getting here was a struggle. Google maps was not precise and when we arrived at the gate we were directed to the other gate and had to drive again. I think spoken or typed directions when we make reservations would be more helpful. Upon arrival the service was amazing to be honest. We had Mr John a s our waiter quite a friendly and professional waiter i might add. Drinks came literally in 5 minutes and the main meal in 13 ( had to actually time them cause i was quite frustrated with locating the place).
