The bathroom reeked and was a huge mess. The light hardly worked, and I struggled for almost a full minute to get any water out of the grimy faucet. The horses seemed generally happy. I am concerned about the chunks of poop floating in their water and the green goop lining the troughs edges. I hope they don’t actually use that trough.

The whole ride ordeal could’ve been worlds better. For starters, it would’ve been helpful to tell us what to do and what not to do once we got on our horses. How about “pull on the reigns to get them to stop,” or instructions on how to steer. Not everyone knows how to ride a horse-some people are nervous or frightened! The trail was very rocky and my horse tripped so many times, as did everyone else’s in the group. Get used to your horse slipping suddenly. And also, the lack of instructions in the beginning-there was no actual guidance on the trail. Our guide hardly said a word to us. I had asked several questions throughout the ride, but he either didn’t hear me or just didn’t answer. At the very end of the ride, I had steered my horse to be right next to him. He looks at me and says, “pull on the reigns.” Only words I ever heard him spoke aside from telling me my horses name is Possum.

I like Possum. He’s a spirited horse and we liked to pass people or block people from passing us. Pretty responsive to my commands, such a sweetheart. He’s the only reason this is two stars and not one.

So just keep these things in mind before coming here!!
