We arrived at Himarë's public beach late in the afternoon after a slow coastal drive, but it was well worth the wait. The water is stunningly clear and that perfect blue that pulls you right in. The beach has fine pebbles that smooth out farther from shore, transitioning to slightly larger stones near the water's edge, rugged yet inviting. Everything's so convenient here: restaurants and markets are just steps away, making it easy to grab a bite or a drink without missing a beat. It's a peaceful spot that feels effortless and beautiful, and if you're in the area, it's absolutely...

Nice (small city) beach, even if it is very crowded in August, with difficult traffic and parking (nothing patience doesn’t solve…;)..).

I find it a good compromise between the comforts of urban life (plenty of restaurants, terrace bars, etc) and a relatively clean beach. It’s calmer than Sarandë, and has more to offer in terms of activities than smaller places.

But Don’t expect water to be as clean as in smaller beaches, because many tourists’ boats leak their oil...

The beach is unfortunately trashed down with empty beers, plastic emballage and cigarette butts everywhere. It's public so it's no cleaned regularly. The water is not clear, at times it even turns green (sewerage?). Last but not least, people leave their umbrellas and chairs everywhere and pretend to have the space reserved for when they come. We've been harassed by the locals cause we were laying too closed an unused umbrella and when the owner came, they forced us to move.
