Vega Beach — Attraction in Bashkia Vlorë

We visited Vega Beach on our last day in Albania, and unfortunately, it was the worst experience of our entire trip.

To start with, they didn’t accept credit cards, even though the card machine was clearly visible — and there was no sign anywhere indicating cash-only. Since it was our final day, we didn’t have much local currency left. We offered to pay in euros and they charged us a ridiculously high exchange fee, much worse than what’s normally practiced in the area — clearly taking advantage of tourists in a vulnerable moment.

The food was another disappointment: overpriced, basic, and made with low-quality ingredients. Nothing justifies the steep prices.

As for the staff, they were unprepared and unwelcoming. Right from the start, instead of greeting us properly, they rudely questioned what we wanted before we even entered the restaurant. At no point did anyone try to make us feel comfortable or well taken care of.

The only good thing about the experience was the stunning sea view — which, thankfully, doesn’t depend on the poorly trained staff. Sadly, it wasn’t enough to overcome the very negative impression we were left with.

I wouldn’t recommend Vega Beach to anyone — not even to an enemy. The place urgently needs to rethink how it treats its guests. A nice view is not enough when there’s no respect or...

STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!!

1. parking sucks. Parked our car in the in front of it and some old man comes running from the hotel up too asking for 10 Euros
2. we got there at 930am , coffe and breafast stuff wasn’t ready bc the “ppl who know how to work the coffe machine and the chefs wherent there yet”
3. the food was HORRRRRRIBLEEEEEEE . The owner was a total deuche bag and pointed at the 3 things that were avail bc the chefs “ are from South America and they don’t know how to make anything else” You can’t order fries on a it’s own. He was too busy doing his stupid dancing and not bringing the food out.
4. MUSIC WAS TRASH!!!! By the end of the day the owner was grinding up on 15yr old girls by the DJ station .

COMPLETE WASTE MF TIME AND MONEY!!!!

Absolutely terrible and rude service. Hopeless people who think that by putting a few sun beds on concrete and some speakers with loud music, they are something special… pathetic. I think places like this should never be used. They have no drinks in the bar… and cannot pay in credit cards ( and they think it’s a luxury palce 🤣🤣🤣 ) And finally, the funniest part is that while trying to pose as big stars, they have half of their sunbeds empty, whereas around other beaches like Vaina, it’s packed with people and a great atmosphere. Well done, you’re wasting money, so maybe you should try another business because you clearly don’t know what you’re doing with...
