Livadhi beach is famous for its deep blue waters and the endless fields of olive trees, it is one of the largest beaches of the region, it has a stretch of 1.2 km and more than 60 meters of sand, and it’s mostly visited by campers and families for its peace and quiet. The beach is divided in two parts, the north side named Gonia famous for its two marble stones inside the sea where people used to jump from there and the south named Apelistra, also famous for its rock with the same name. A little farther north visitor can find a small beautiful beach named Fusa (or Aquarium), it is highly recommended to visit it. Livadhi beach is a popular stretch of sand during summer time with sun beds and umbrellas occupying the largest parts of the beach. The northern side is a chain of rocks that were used for local people for entertainment named Janulla cliffs, the place is famous for the length of the rocks and diving. There are a lot of restaurants serving seafood and Mediterranean cuisine and cafes at the front of the beach and many hotels and apartments for rent at the begging of the beach. Water sports are also available here with Jet Skis, paddle boats, canoes and boat rides being the main activities. There are several volleyball pitches and every day at 15:00 locals gather to play at San Marco beach bar at the north part...

Livadhi Beach in Himara is a wonderful destination for anyone visiting the Albanian Riviera. The beach offers a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere, making it ideal for spending a full day by the sea. The water is clear and refreshing, and the surrounding landscape provides a beautiful backdrop for photos and enjoying nature.

Visitors can easily spend hours here swimming, sunbathing, or simply taking in the scenery. There are a few small cafes nearby where you can grab snacks and drinks, making it convenient for a longer stay. The overall vibe is calm and welcoming, perfect for families, friends, or solo travelers.

Whether you are exploring the area or just looking for a quiet place to unwind, Livadhi Beach is highly recommended. A great spot to relax, enjoy the sea, and appreciate the natural beauty of Himara.

📍 Tip: Arrive early, especially during the summer months, to find parking and a good spot...

We have been to this beach multiple times during our holiday. It's not crowded and has a more relaxed / family vibe to it. No beach bars that play loud deafening music (thankfully), but then again we went in June, not sure if during July/August the situation varies. A lot of mini shops from which you can buy water, snacks and fruit. Many restaurants where you can eat with ok prices (considering the location by the beach the prices are lower than in Himarë city centre). Sun beds cost from 500 - 1000 lek, I would suggest to always haggle a bit, especially if not all sunbeds are occupied. We took 2 sun beds for example and offered to pay 1500 lek (instead of 2000) and the guy accepted. Overall, a more quiet, peaceful pebbled beach, clear and clean water, with lots of food and drink facilities....

Pretty good beach. The beach is on some places not too rocky. Really small rocks, you can easily lie without a sunbed on the ground. Also compared to other beaches there is not too much trash laying around. The water entry is also easy, no hidden big rocks. Its gets deep pretty fast, so watch out if going with smaller kids. The water itself is pretty clean for what i saw. We were here in late September, so low season. The beach was not crowded at all, the annoying beach bar music not there. So i cannot speak for high season. The beach also has several restaurants and hotels available.

The beach is a pebble beach but the water is so clear and warm that it shouldn’t dissuade you from visiting. Nearby shops sell floaties, swimsuits and everything else you could want, in case you find yourself in need of something. Just be sure to bring your own sunscreen, the nearby shops charge 24-30€ per bottle, but everything else is reasonably priced.
