This place seems famous among Luxembourgers (like Phantasialand) so I visited to go see for myself. First good thing, the parking is free and its right next to the highway. The building looks nice and stylish. I took a 4h pass (~30€) for the pool & slide area only (wellness and sauna area is extra), and got a wristband. The unisex changing rooms were spacy and regularly cleaned. Showers are clean, though there was some maintenance going on. The water park was at medium capacity I'd say (arrived at 12 o'clock). The large main dome had many long chairs to sit down. There was also an unusual large amount of whirlpools/Jacuzzi spots, which I liked. The dome features a nice pool that winds around, I thought the water was a bit turbid though (but thats honestly the case in almost every public pool). Also there was lots of hair, especially in the pools where the waterslides end. The Erlebnisgrotte was nicely themed, though it was rather chilly since maintenance was going on. The steam room was nice though. On the other side there is another grotto but with a hot water pool, that one was pretty popular and always packed. The outdoor pool was cool, check out the salt water pool. Although I wish the salt water pool would be accessible from the indoor area. The slide dome already looks impressive: its like a maze of slides inside. All slides were 0-7min waits. The trapdoor loop slide was always a walk-on, I guess people were too scared haha. I enjoyed it (also witnessed a few guys getting rescued from the escape hatch). Aquaconda was pretty cool especially with its uphill sections (rare in Germany). The double slide was ok, but nothing extraordinary. The Canyon slide was much more fun and thrilling than expected. Red star was surprisingly fun and fast. The bowl slide was also fun. I loved the Boomerang, very thrilling little thing. I also checked the new Rutschen-Dschungel which is cool but more for younger folks. I managed to get 4-8 rides on each slide For lunch I had a currywurst and a slushy, price/quality was ok. Though I wish they'd update their payment method for the restaurant and poolbar, like its in some other places: wristband scanned when buying something and then paying when leaving the park. So you dont need to get your wallet out of your locker. I totally recommend visiting this place, though check beforehand to avoid school holidays and weekends. This place can get packed, loud and rowdyish when you are there at the wrong time

Simply disappointed. The Covid organization is awful. The oneway system is just useless. we entered the water on the “wrong” side and the staff (who came closer to us, without a mask, than any other guest the whole day) pulled us out of the pool even though nobody else was near us and told us we had to walk around the whole facility to enter the pool from the other side. But once you are in the pool, all the sections are connected and everyone is mixed together anyway. The changing area people are freely walking around and social distancing on their own. We’ve all been living with Covid since March, we know to keep our distance and not to spit in other people’s mouths. The personal in the pool area were rude to many guests, their frustration with the new guidelines showed with the ill treatment. Just being a little nicer to the paying guests makes all the difference. We’ve gone to a few different swimming pools since Covid with better safety protocols. The “restaurant” is simply Imbiss food, a few items on the menu weren’t available for no explained reason. not expecting 5 star quality, but should be better for the prices. The payment system really needs an update, the entry wristband opens and locks the cabinets, but not to purchase food. So having to walk all the way back around the pool to get cash/card to pay is such a hassle since you then have to bring it back to the lockers. The few slides they have are alright, nothing special, cute little kids area is a plus. It’s an ok water park, but no interest from this group to make a return trip. Apologies for such a long rant, but people should have a realistic overview rather than just pretty pictures on the website, especially when you drive 2hrs specifically to come here!

Disappointed. We arrived for an evening of swimming. For the price I paid, I expected more. It was around €95 for 2 adults and 3 kids. The facility only has life jackets available for purchase, none for renting or just day use. The locker rooms were a little worse for wear, missing ceiling tiles, and dirty. The water in the main pool was warm which the kids and I enjoyed, however the “hot tubs” were the same temperature as the main pool. The slides were fun, but the stairs headed to the best slide were very rusted. You’re supposed to constantly clean and treat the metal so it doesn’t rust. With all the water parks in Germany this is the second time I’ve seem a park with this problem, which says to me they are lacking in keeping up with their maintenance. The slide also said you can ride it with two people, but they don’t have 2 person rafts. Why bother with advertising the two person option? If I’m in the area again, I’ll skip this place for somewhere else.

Klare Empfehlung!

Perfekter Tag in Köln!
