Alta Vista Wines — Attraction in Distrito Chacras de Coria

Was recommended this vineyard /bodega by our hostel and we're so pleased! Having been to several wineries in maipu the day before, this was a higher level of luxury for a very affordable price. The grounds are amazing!! We ordered their picnic MENU which is $930 (£12GBP) and you get a selection of starters mains and desserts - all delicious! You also get three generous sized glasses of wine, which they allow you to choose (from a specific selection of course). We enjoyed all of the above, had fantastic service and enjoyed beautiful views! So relaxing! It is best to make a reservation (we didn't but they were kind enough to fit us in). Not a very busy place - I get the impression they limit numbers to create the relaxed environment....

We came unannounced sweaty and tired having walked by too many vineyards that were not open.

We got greeted with open arms, offered to use the bathroom to freshen up and then got seated in Assemblage restaurant.

Super professional staff, totally 100% informative regarding the 9 course meny and the wine pairing. 3 hours later we were fully fed, so happy to have found this gem. All courses were fantastic flavor experiences prepared with such a cooking skills. Wines paired with the dishes were also precisely chosen to complete each other.

I’ve been to many wineries in many countries around the world. The service was the worst here of anywhere I have been. Once we were seated and got our single glass of wine the waitress never came back to offer the charcuterie she mentioned as we were seated, never came to offer us a second glass of wine, we just sat there for an hour before going in and tracking down a worker so we could pay our bill. The wine was also below average and I like most of Argentinas Malbec selections. There are plenty of choices in Mendoza. No need to literally WASTE...
