Bodega Budeguer me impresionó mucho.

Bodega Budeguer impressed me a lot. I liked all of their wines, but in particular the Petit Verdot and Ancellotta. Honestly, I enjoyed all of them, and Yanina, our guide, was amazing—she made us fall in love with their wines.

They explained the origin of the name of their wine Patrimonio. The name reflects the wealth of the winery, and the family is very proud of what has been achieved. Patrimonio is a Blend, a mix of the best, with a 20-year aging potential. This wine was released last year, five years after the harvest. It spent a long time in French oak barrels and in bottle within the cellar, which contributed to its great aging potential.

They also talked about their Gran Reserva 4000 line, which spends a minimum of 12 months in oak barrels, but this particular wine was aged for 16 months. The name Gran Reserva 4000 comes from the postal code of the Budeguer family, an important detail for them, as they greatly value the sense of belonging from their origin to the final product.

The winery produces 100% varietal wines, such as Malbec, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Petit Verdot. They mentioned that Petit Verdot is a rare grape variety, as it is typically used in small quantities in blends. However, Budeguer is one of the few wineries producing 100% Petit Verdot, which highlights their specialization in exclusive wines.

They also spoke about their winery’s Blend, a mix of the best: 75% Malbec, 15% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 10% Petit Verdot.

Additionally, they have limited-edition wines. These wines are numbered and exclusive to the winery. They are signed by the head winemaker, and only 1490 bottles were produced, with prices ranging from 18,000 to 34,000 pesos. Among these exclusive wines, they have Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Ancellotta, Shiraz, Petit Verdot, and also white wines. What’s interesting about the white wines is that they are fermented in oak barrels, which is uncommon, as white wine grapes usually can't withstand fermentation in barrels—but they have...

Disorganized and Disappointing – Avoid Ordering & Shipping Wine

We visited Bodega Budeguer and had a tasting arranged through Trout & Wine tour company while visiting Mendoza. The tour with Mauro was enjoyable, and we decided to purchase several bottles to be shipped home to the US. However, the winery completely dropped the ball on arranging the shipment and will not refund the money we paid for the wine.

Despite taking our order and payment at the end of the tour, they failed to follow through on the shipping process while we were still in Argentina. Three weeks later, we had to reach out to ask about the status of the shipping. This created a lot of confusion and when we were contacted by the shipping agency the links to their payment system did not work. We spent another week trying to resolve it but nothing worked and the whole process started to feel like a scam.

I messaged back to Budeguer that I wanted a refund of my order and was told on March 21 they were working on it. It’s been another two weeks and I still do not have a refund.

If you’re considering ordering wine from here, think twice. Their poor handling of shipments and lack of communication turned what could have been a great experience into a major...

We stopped here to break up the drive to Uco valley and we were so happy we did as it was one of our absolute favorite wineries to visit on the trip.

I wish I could remember the name of the wonderful young lady that helped us. She was full of knowledge and gave us a nice tour followed by a tasting. Her English was excellent as well which was much appreciated due to our limited Spanish. The tasting room has an amazing view and the artwork indoors was also fabulous.

Both the tasting and the wines for purchase were very reasonable price especially compared to the amazing quality. One thing of great note is that during the tour the guide got a sense of what wines we preferred to drink and what we might like to try and she prepared a personal tasting based on that knowledge rather than give everyone the same thing. We were able to try specifically things we were interested in which was so much appreciated and caused us to truly love the tasting. We bought one of each. The only downside is that we didn’t have more room in the luggage to buy a whole case of each. I hope we have the...

To start with, delicious wines. I enjoyed every single one I tasted. I had a wonderful tour in English with Mauro. He explained everything very well and answered all of our questions. We began outside with the vines and toured through the facility, as he explained everything along the way. We finished first outside with the beautiful view and then sat down for our tasting, which included some nice cheese and crackers and fruits and nuts to enjoy along with the tasting. This was definitely my favorite tour and my favorite wines I have tried in Mendoza.

We had such a lovely and personalised tour by Mauro. The wines were so good, especially for the price! The Corte de Bodega was outstanding (only $6,400 pesos) as Mauro mentioned their wine is produced for local consumption as opposed to mass exportation. To us this was a must for anyone wanting great wine and service without paying for a label!!! All other staff were also excellent with arranging transport back to the city (thank you once again Valentina).
