Bodega Kindgard — Attraction in Municipio de Purmamarca

It was such a treat to tour around the vineyard and winery guided by homeowner Adolfo Kingard himself. His passion, knowledge, family heritage and deep love for the terroir made it an unforgettable experience. The wines are out of this world, unique on their own right, highly recommended for connoisseurs wanting to step out of their comfort zone as well as for visitors who simply want to enjoy one of the pearls of Purmamarca and the Quebrada. The only person attending us was very kind and friendly. The food was delicious, and the wines were excellent as well.

However, there was no one available to explain the wines or provide information about the chef. There was no sommelier or winery tour, and no details about the wines were offered.

It was also quite difficult to reach the place, as there is no proper signage and Google Maps doesn’t show the correct route.

What an amazing experience! We found this bodega accidentally online and we decided to visit the next day. Adolfo responded fast and set us up with Alejandro who guided us during the day. The vineyard is a bit hidden, but when you see it you’ll be in awe of its beauty. Alejandro is an amazing person whose passion for the winery is simply infectious (and he speaks English which was a plus for us). The wine was also exquisite.
