The best resort in Ushuaia. Arakur is modern with beautiful amenities, including and indoor outdoor infinity pool with stunning views of the mountains! The staff are all very friendly and can speak English. I've broken down my review into three sections: Rooms, Spa, and Restaurant ROOMS Extremely clean, beautiful interior design, and very comfortable. I love that the curtains auto-open and I love the touch pad on the wall that controls everything from temperature to alarm clock. The rooms feel like a modern luxury, especially with the gorgeous view. Cleaning service is efficient and fantastic. SPA As mentioned above, the pool area is amazing. The waters are heated to a warm temperature and the outdoor jacuzzis stay very hot. The pools even have music playing underwater! There are also massage and facial services but they require appointments to be booked out at least two days in advance! I was not able to book anything because only one masseuse works per day doing both massages and facials. I could not find a time that worked for me during my stay :( My boyfriend received a massage which he said was just "OK". There are sauna rooms but they require reservations as well. RESTAURANT I've had breakfast, lunch, room service, and dinner at Arakur. All dining is served in a large room with big windows overlooking the town. The free breakfast...I thought was okay. It consists of mostly breads and sweets, but you can order eggs and pancakes from the kitchen. The hot foods are buffet style but I did not eat much from the buffet because I don't think the food is safe - they sit at a lukewarm temperature which is a food safety hazard! The dinner buffet also looks so-so. I recommend ordering a la carte, which is definitely pricey compared to the average in Ushuaia. However, everything a la carte I've ordered (including room service) is delicious and the dinner dishes are plated beautifully. All of the a la carte menus are digital via QR Code and, unfortunately, there are no English menus. However, the servers are all very helpful and the menu is small and manageable. I'm being pretty picky. Overall, I loved my stay at Arakur and highly recommend this resort to anyone looking to reside in a secluded, luxurious environment. The only major negative aspect I can think of is that Arakur is a bit secluded from town. It is about a 15min drive down the hill, which has potholes and can be pretty scary to drive on at night. I recommend taking the free shuttle to and from town. We took an old taxi once, in the middle of the night, and it was pretty...terrifying. I thought we were not going to make it all the way up the hill.

This is a fantastic hotel. The views are amazing and the hotel exudes quality. I stayed here before going on a cruise and would definitely recommend staying here if you go to Ushuaia. The views from the rooms are right down over the town and the mountains in Chile. The spa is fantastic, including an indoor swimming pool and outdoor thermal pools with views down over the town. It has a small sauna you can book too. Breakfast was excellent. Really good choice from the buffet, plus you could order eggs etc how you wanted them. I also had lunch here which was the same high quality. The bar also has a good selection of wines. The rooms are really comfortable, with lovely beds. The service is excellent. The only issue is the checkout time, which is 10am. Most hotels its 11 or 12. However they will hold your bags. They also have a small bus down to the town and back at least once an hour, which is free. To top it off there are some lovely walks behind the hotel, which are fully mapped out, including a viewpoint that is worth a visit. If you are not in to walking, there is a viewing room on top of the hotel with amazing views, the stairs are at the spa end of the hotel on the 4th floor. If you are visiting Ushuaia, this is the place to stay.

It was a night of included stay as part of the pre cruise trip. Was impressed that they actually chose the best hotel in Ushuaia. I was quite impressed with the hotel staff and the rooms, and I have to say the views from the hotel was just spectacular. Too bad I didn't have much time in Ushuaia so I spent most of the time out and didn't get chance to explore and use the facilities in the hotel. Everywhere is clean, spick and span. The hotel breakfast spread was good, loved the variety and the standard, enjoyed the waffles a lot, was hot and crispy since it was made to order. Slight negatives was that the Wi-Fi wasn't very stable and was quite slow so didn't get to do much with it. Also the view from the top was good but definitely won't be good location for easy access to downtown. Had to rely heavily on the hourly shuttle so advance planning is required to catch the shuttle. Really like it that the hotel lobby area is very spacious and bright, really lifts the mood up. A nice gem hidden away from the busy downtown.

This hotel is BREATHTAKING and incredibly stunning. There is absolutely nothing what you can rate badly. You can try really hard, but there's nothing. Also, they offer free shuttle bus from and to the city daily, from 08:00 until 23:00 😃 The jacuzzi is absolutely phenomenal, and if you dive into the water, you will hear beautiful symphony music playing all around underwater ! The indoor pools are also fabulous, and you can book a sauna at reception, free of charge. The breakfast is different level, wow wow wow ! Also, gluten-free options and almond milk on request. They have absolutely everything here and there nothing they would not do for you. My sea view room was spectacular, and i will definitely return in the future if my journey crosses again in Ushuaia as i am going to Antarctica from here. Thank you for our fabulous stay and unforgettable memories. The staff here is incredibly kind, loving, welcoming, and polite.

Gorgeous hotel in the Andes Mountain range. Beautiful views, friendly staff. The rooms are spacious & gorgeous. My only negative comment is geared toward the bathroom. If you're not a "couple" the see through glass is annoying. Thankfully there is a shade that can be pulled down. Bathrooms are equipped with all the toiletries you need plus robe & slippers. Separate shower & toilet stalls however all doors are see through.... Beds are very comfortable. We only ate lunch & breakfast, both were delicious with a great variety of choices. The decor was wonderfully thought out all through the hotel. So many different & inviting seating areas everywhere. The spa/pool area was magnificent. Indoor & outdoor pools with magnificent views of the mountains. Heated infinity pool & hot tubs outside. Just a lovely experience. Would def go back

Best location in Ushuaia. Great spa. I need to add a funny story. We were there during election week-end. First night "Sir you cannot drink wine, in Argentina, it's not allowed the day before the election". OK, I don't vote the next day but I can have some solidarity with my Argentinian friends. Second night, at 7:00, I'm already thinking about my Malbec glass after a long trek during the day and then ... "Sorry sir, only after 9 PM" ... I'm tired and a bit upset but OK, I have my (excellent) dinner with a bottle of sparkling water, and I go back to my room. At 9:15 ... knock, knock, unexpected room service with two glasses of wine and some food to nibble. Classy.
