A hidden monastery in Armenia. Barely any people visit it (might find a few hikers). Moderate access, as there is no direct road, but walked in pavement and some signs on the woods to follow. It's roughly 150m up hill from the main road with a distance of roughly 2km. There's a man made bridge to cross the river. (if you're a bigger person do not step in the middle of the bridge, but on the side - no offence, it's for safety reasons as the bridge is made of thick copper or similar kind of metal). Note: there's also another route to the monastery with a safer and bigger bridge. The church/monastery itself is very unique and has a wooden cross on top of it. one of the most mysterious churches that I have seen in my life. But they definitely can keep it better. it was so exciting and cool. at first we had some troubles finding the correct location. then we found some local people staying beside the road, although they did not speak a word in English but they guided us. also they had a jeep to take us to the church which was in the middle of woods. that costs 5000 dram. there was a nice river which we stayed a bit beside it. also there was another historic church near by that can be gone by...

An old monastery worth visiting in Dilijan. It's free to visit. The trail is about 8 km from the center I think. It is a more difficult trail compared to the one to Jukhtakvank Monastery as you may have to really "hike".

The trail could be confusing. It's better to follow the sign marked on the trees. If you follow Google Maps, it's not very accurate (where you see you have to turn left on the map, you actually have to straight just a little bit more...
