Owner does not like dogs that are entiire, that means has there balls , her dog Oscar who is 11 is beautiful but he had a go at Our dog Tyson we were cool we were outside the whole time and stayed out side and Tyson did not retaliate, Oscar kept coming out side so the lovely Lady that was serving us put Oscar in the office , another lady came out and interrupted us when we were tasting the wine, Tyson was sleeping and she said she doesn't want dogs there that are entiire, I was shocked she also went to ask what we were going to do if we were going to take his testicals off or not, I said he is a beautiful nature , not sure yet, not that it is any of her business. I later found out she is the owner I couldn't believe it. My husband and I drive from Christie's Beach once a week to buy some wine from McLaren Vale and around the area for us and family, we buy at least 24 bottles a week and send some to our family in perth. Today I walked away with 3 bottles and I won't be going back or recommending this winery to anyone , especially if you have a dog , the owner is rude and unprofessional .

To the response to Lousie below . My Tyson was on a short lead held by my physically fit 100 kilo husband the whole time , when you came out Tyson was sleeping, you had two customers while we were outside, they walked straight past Tyson even looked at him and smiled , the only one barking and being intimadating was you Lousie . I have read your other reviews that you respond on, it seems you have a problem with customer service and being rude to people and animals that are doing nothing wrong , maybe you are having a bad day, or going through the life change you look about that age , what ever it is with you you should not take it out on customers or innocent aniamals that are doing the right thing. Here's an idea 💡 put a sign out were customers park no pets allowed except the...

We came across the Battle about 4 years ago while camping out in our caravan in McLaren Vale. We fell in love first sight, although we remembered this winery from the ‘old days’. After a week tasting in the region, we dropped by and became members of the 1485 club. A great experience every time we visit wonderful Jane behind the counter or when we open a bottle at home. We love Jock’s winemaking skills: taste of the earth, sun and craftsmanship in every glass. Puritan for a lunch date with friends, White Boar for more serious business. Then again, we keep their other Shiraz close by. We love their Chardonnays (super drops). Overall, great wine experience. Jock and Louise and their family are so very passionate about their vineyards. No frills, great knowledge, true love and beautiful wines dressed in ...

Nope, absolutely horrendous. Have never been so disappointed in a winery ever - the wine itself was beautiful and they clearly put effort in to what they do but their customer service was shocking - the owner herself verbally abused our driver multiple times regarding the ‘fact’ that he had taken a ‘group’ (5 people, 2 of whom were not really tasting) without prior appointment. She got very angry, insisted on charging our group $5 per head for tasting despite the fact we were ready to buy at least a dozen bottles between us. I could have forgiven the charge but could not forgive the abuse to our very sweet and innocent driver. We paid for the tasting and left. Don’t do it, they do not deserve your money for this kind...

We came to Battle of Bosworth on a rainy Saturday and it was absolutely gorgeous. There was one very personable girl helping us with the tasting, and I believe Louise, the owner, was also there ensuring the lovely fire was lit - her little dog Jet was pottering around enjoying the pats from visitors. The wines are very understated but delicious and palatable, and they have a great range even including orange wine! (some of the beautiful wine labels have drawings of flowers that were sourced from vintage seed packets). The whole space is extremely inviting and feels warm and relaxing - the exact vibe we were looking for on a quiet winter Saturday. Will definitely return! :-)
