Kensington Gardens reserve is a very large green park. Three ovals (Colonel waite oval, Ford Oval and Parkinson Oval), many tennis courts and three bowling courts, some basketball courts are there. Kensington Gardens preschool centre and Burnside Rugby Union Club are also in this reserve. Stonefell Creek goes through it. The environment is very beautiful. More than a dozen kinds of children's entertainment facilities in the playgrounds here. There are many animal sculptures carved on a huge log which is nearby the Burnside Adventure Playground . It's a great place for sporting, children playing, party and barbecue and so on. There are lots of parking lots and parking spaces.

It was an absolute pleasure wandering through the reserve. A network of winding paths gently weaves its way beneath towering gums and through lush bush gardens. It’s easy to forget you’re still in the city, the only soundtrack is the chorus of birds that call this place home. As a lovely bonus, the reserve offers two nature playgrounds, public tennis courts, and a pair of workout stations. They have provided informative signs and even a treasure hunt for the playful at heart. Dogs are welcome, and public amenities are available for convenience.

This area has been developed very nicely and was a beautiful area to take the dog for a walk. The lake has been turned into a wetlands with lots of nice areas to sit or have a picnic. The playgrounds and exercise areas have all been developed and look great. They have roped off areas for the bushland to be kept free from people trampling it which is great so it was a nice place for bird watching.

Very nice place to relax and enjoy nature's beauty. Lovely atmosphere, especially around the cricket club. Only downer was when an inconsiderate family decided to leave their dog's poo on Kensington Oval....I told them they need to pick it up and the woman said I was just picking on them because they were Chinese. I think that was just their way of having people back off so they can do whatever they want. I saw another person also telling them but they too copped an earful. So disappointing that not all do the...
