There is a lot of work being done and it shows. I appreciate that an old style garden is established alongside areas of native vegetation. The old architecture of dams and cascades, old growth trees with thick canopies and new garden beds give plenty of photo opportunities. Edit: Second creek is flowing and it is all green this time of the year.

Really nice little park - I come here most mornings as I live a short walk away. It's not very big - and you can walk around it in about 10 minutes, but taking the time to sit down and enjoy the natural surroundings is simply therapeutic! If there was more suitable lighting (especially for the winter months) this place would be perfect.

This is not a very big botanic reserve. The second Creek goes through it. It's suitable for walking, jogging, cycling and scooter, but you need to be careful with some slopes. There are picnic areas and public toilets. There is no parking lot so you need to park on the nearby street. This reserve is closed between 10pm & 5am daily.

Not a lot of parking nearby, however it is definitely worth a visit. There are lots of interesting plants and birds. It is quite small but good for a walk. It is a bit up and down so it was a little bit tricky for me with my mobility issues and walking stick but it was doable. There are toilet facilities but they were graffitiied and didn't look that great. They have some signage around to provide information as there are historic trees in the area. As it is the foothills, the birds were a really good variety. At the moment we are in a drought and it was sad to see how little water there was and so I only saw two water birds (a couple of Pacific Black Ducks) after walking around the full reserve. There are lots of trees and plants though that attract plenty of other birds. I heard multiple Kookaburras too but didn't manage...

beautiful little reserve, calm and peaceful environment. couple of benches with tables to have you picnic lunch. nice loop track for a walk, a little pond in the middle with a gentle stream of water from the top makes it even better. But if you found this place and decide to visit it, then please keep it to your self and PLEASE DO NOT spread the word around, because if too many people started visiting it then it would defeat the whole purpose of...

A nicely hidden reserve that has surprisingly little crowd considering its natural beauty. Perfect for a calm evening walk where, even with the sun shining down hard, you get complete shade due to the dense tree canopy. Some very old trees here and a small lake add to its beauty. Lovely for a small picnic. Note that you may face some mosquitoes in the evenings so...
