Picnic areas, dog park, playground, exercise area, skateboard park, clean toilets, wonderful trails! And now the southern trails (the main entrance with all the amenities) now connect to the northern trails for tons of exploring. Good cycling for MTB or gravel bikes. And there's also a BMX track. Boardwalks over the low, marshy area. Plenty of benches dot the trails for rest stops and the new network of trail markers is top notch. The northern trails are much more "wild" than the southern trails and they have zero amenities. Loads of fun 👍 Easy to connect to the Happy Valley Reservoir trails too. From the southern carpark there are nice road crossings with safety islands for crossing HV road to access the East gate for HVR. From the northern trails you can cross (with safety islands) the main road at the Flagstaff roundabout to access a relatively unknown NorthEast gate to the HVR trails.

This is quite a nice little well maintained dog park. It's not the largest dog park but it is nice and tidy with large amounts of bark chip covered areas. There is a small shelter from the sun/rain and a few benches scattered throughout. There is also 2 entrances which each have a double gate to ensure that dogs can't escape

Great facility. Big enough for so many dogs. Adequate seating and shade provision. Water taps really accessible. Poo bags provided. One park size fits all though - if you have a big dog that does not like small dogs , or vice versa - this is not necessarily the park for you.

Smallish skate park that suits kids and teens with modest array of elements and a bowl that has pretty decent drop in for the cooler kids but it can get a bit crowded. Decent little playground for the young kids. Outdoor gym equipment for exercise. Closed off area for off-leash dog play, though that whole fenced dog area is covered in thick woodchips which probably isn't so nice on their paws and is likely a haven for snakes. Elsewhere within the park there's some nice BMX jumps made from dirt though these are often filled with ant nests. You know, them big ants that you wouldn't want to mess with. There's also some nice paths that weave around for walking the dog or going for a mild jog and in winter time there's a wet creeky type area with a little wooden bridge that's kinda nice. Decent sized car park that's supposedly monitored by surveillance. There's a public restroom and at night the play area & skate park are fairly well lit until midnight, but just down the walking trail it's dark enough that local teens can hang out at night and get up to some harmless teen mischief such as smoking, spitting, littering and using profanity. Overall, a nice area for the...

Not a place to skate, but a concrete landscape where parents sit hypnotized by their phones while their toddlers crawl around, while packs of scooter-riders consume nearly all available surfaces. Originally built as a skatepark, now has been rendered by the local population-boom into a full-blown playground. A great place if you simply need to get the kids out of the house, and into someone else's hair. It's a miracle not more injuries are caused by the mixture of toddlers, scooters and skateboards. Parents of scooter-riders are known for frequently calling the police because of the frustration their children causes the other users of the facility, after repeatedly asking them to simply look where they are going, not stand in the way, and allow other users to exist within the confines of the concrete gladiator-arena. Built with the best intentions, this "skatepark" is not suited at all for the current mixture of users, and it's desperately needs to be expanded to avoid serious injuries. Good luck to you should you go there with the intentions of actually skating at...
