Alma Bay is one of Magnetic island islands best places to enjoy nature. Kids enjoy climbing across the rocky shores that bracket the pristine main beach. Year round swimming from the beach is possible. With reefs close into shore it is perfect for scuba diving or even snorkeling. A short swim from the beach will allow free diving to shallow reefs. Colourfull reef fish and stingrays are among the creatures you are likely to see. Unpowered water craft can be used in the designated area. The beach is patrolled by surf life saving Australia between the red and yellow flags placed on the beach. The area has clean, well maintained public toilets, showers to wash off the sea salt and bbq areas with tables and chairs. This makes for a very good spot for group outings. Across the road there is a news agent that stocks a range of goggles and other items you might need on the beach that you may have forgotten, like sunscreen. Other essentials for a day at the beach can also be purchased. Including cold drinks and ice creams. They also sell bags of food so you can feed the Wallabies at Armand Way, Geoffrey Bay. This is only a short walk and is a favourite activity for people of all ages. Meals can be bought at Arcadia village from Bikini tree cafe or the...

Many different kids of coral and fish and we saw a few blue spotted rays. Some patches of poor visibility due to the sandy bottom. It gets better the farther out you swim along the rocks on the left side, especially if you keep swimming along the shore to the left, around to the next 2 small bays...
