Pilliga Forest Discovery Centre — Attraction in Baradine

A must-visit when in the area for local tips, knowledge, maps and road/track conditions throughout the Pilliga. Interesting free exhibition and timeline too to put things into perspective. Very knowledgable and friendly staff. You can also buy tickets for local tours.

Exploring Baradine and surroundings was a spontaneous decision and Kate from the Pilliga Forest Discovery Centre was brilliant in giving me a detailed overview of the area. From overnight stays, good food to activities, she provided me with a great range of options to make the most out of my short stay. The centre is a wonderful place to stop and explore the interesting history of the Pilliga Forest as well as the rich flora and fauna you find in the region. The lady at the centre is just amazing! She was very helpful. She gave us the right information. She even considered the kind of a car we have and the weather in last few days before suggesting the routes.

We provided impeccable directions to sandstones caves.

She also gave bird routes to my child. She also suggested the bird route to use and how to use it. We are going to look for bird routes from now where ever we go!
