Barney Point Beach — Attraction in Barney Point

Great place to sit while having lunch. It is always kept clean and the people who I've seen while there seem to be enjoying the peaceful water view as much as me. Sure, like all beach areas inside the coral reef, at low tide you get a good view of what's normally under the water, and to some it isn't so pretty, but still more beautiful than sitting inside 4 walls. More covered seating would be a bonus. Often no seats available but sitting in your car looking straight out over the water is still nice. The park area is kept tidy and contains a fenced playground...

Love going down to Barney point beach, it's great for swimming, has 2 playgrounds for the kids and a good little fishing spot when tide is coming it, not filters add to photos, this was at 9am and the water was the calmest I've ever seen I even caught a little flying fish you could see them jumping out the water and flying about half a metre away and whiting is good down there about 2-3 metres out, be careful of snaggs tho, has bbq area toilets and undercover areas, good little beach for the family to visit when the...

Barneypoint is a hard one to describe ...it sits in what I would call the older or poorer parts of gladstone...but once your there there are modern highrise the look out over the water....unfortunately this is really not a swim beach but there is an area where you can swim if that's what you want to do....be warmed swimming out side this area you could be stung...there's parks there walking tracks...andbi also use it go fly drones there...it's a nice...
