We went very close to the end of winter not knowing if we would see snow and were pleasantly surprised to see one of the ski slopes as well as a sledding area all still open. The real highlight however was the staff. We travelled as a trio of people with disabilities including one wheelchair. The site was not accessible however we could see ramp developments were on the way and the staff were ready to go with a vehicle to drive us up past the stairs (we gave them no notice and they just offered and did it) and had portable ramps around the sight to help us out.
Everyone was super kind and supportive and while we had planned to drag ourselves up and crawl if needed they made the trip so much better.
We were able to take the 'shuffle bus' up, the staff helping provide boosts into the vehicle and more than haloy to have our folding wheelchair on board. They made every effort to make sure we could do it all.
The food honestly wasn't very good but the staff well and truely made up for it and made our first snow...

We were not allowed to take the hire car up Jacobs Ladder to the alpine village but there is a shuttle service at the lower car park that will take you up for $20p/p. There is a cafe at the top to warm your hands with a hot beverage and a bite to eat and hire equipment before heading out for snow activities. This was another highlight...
Read moreVery cool place to visit if you’re around the area. A relatively cruisey 2.3km hike to the summit and great lookout areas. I was also surprised that the Alpine Village had some shops open in off season, which was nice.
