This is in my top 5 Caravan Parks in Oz Absolutely Stunning location amongst the tall native tress on a Point surrounded bu an abundance of epic wildlife and Stunning beaches where you can swim with Rays, surf epic waves or just float in the lagoon like bays or take the kids to the calm side or build a sand castle, all very quick walking distance from the park which is huge and caters for ever type of camper. Great powered sites, some with ensuite’s, cabins for all budgets and a massive epic unpowered area with stunning views… Defo chuck it on your must do list YOU WONT BE...

Kicked off our road trip in Sydney with a local's tip to check out Bendalong Point for some close encounters with stingrays on our way to Batemans Bay! Marked it on our map and headed there, excited to see these rays in their natural habitat. It’s a bit of a gamble whether they’ll come close to shore, and even though we didn’t bring any bread to lure them, we were in for a surprise!

We ended up spotting a big stingray and 4-5 smaller ones! They don’t venture too near the shore, so you have to wade in about knee-deep.

The experience was amazing—and the best part?...

Peaceful. Parking was great. You can park right up to the water (pretty much). Open the boot and have a picnic on the grass. The toilets are clean and everyone's having a good time. No louts here. If you're looking for stingrays, they're always here. Wade into the water where others are watching them. You can't miss them.

We parked next to the playground. It's pretty mediocre, but if you've got a grateful child, they'll make the most of the elevated platforms and newish climbing wall. Tbh, they'll probably want to watch the rays or have a splash...

Yes we found some stingrays here, yes they were worth it. Hung out with some friendly locals in search of them. One guy mumbling racist comment from the camping area sadly 🙄 otherwise 10/10. I also encourage everyone to look up the connection of stingrays to the aboriginal people x

Got here at around 9:30! Stingrays were still here when we left at around 10:15! They sell baits to feed at the caravan reception just 5 mins walk up the stairs and further, small bag for $10! There were also wild kangaroos nearby, all pretty chill imo. Worth coming :)
