Tamanian devils As close as you dare to devils! Cute but carnivorous this is a great experience. No glass between you and them if you dare/were allowed - you could reach out and touch them (eh don't they might lie, roll over and lap water like your dog but at that distance you can check out the size of those teeth!). The devils are close but it's safe! Only one other couple only that night - a never to forget up close and personal experience - wine/cheese/experienced guide. Read moreA family friendly experience that gets you up close and personal with the Endangered Tasmanian Devil. Once you arrive at the experience area, you are greeted with local cheese, crackers and wine; while the kids are given juice, chocolate and chips.
After the wine is poured, the curtain is raised (spoiler alert!) to reveal Tasmanian Devils scavenging on their dinner. Our window was open and revealed an eye level, natural area of Tasmanian Devils shrieking at each other to determine who will get the biggest portion of their prey.
Over the next 45 minutes, while you’re transfixed by the Devil’s in front you, your host deep dives into everything about these fascinating creatures.
