The few km from the sealed road to the look out is rough... not as in you need a 4wd but imagine the road rippled... all the way.... so it's a bumpy ride.. if you have a car all good... go slow....
A great deal of wild life in the area... the trek upto the look out does narrow... it'll be bit of a misson if you have a walking stick or walking aid then it'll be difficult...
Once up there is enough room for a number of people... yet... each time I've been there it's been ships passing in the night...
There is a gate but have been there at 3am and 4am at different time's and days and it hasn't been closed... but.... in case.. be prepared...

Read moreThis was a pleasant surprise to find on a little day wander around. (Just finding things on a map) :-) The view you get from here was gorgeous and with a 360 degree view. Be careful on a windy or rainy day. Anvil lookout does have rails but there are other rocky formations that could be dangerous in the wrong weather.
This is a short walk from where you park. You could of course park further away to get some exercise done as well. There is also another little track that is also short...to show the beautiful wind eroded cave, Absolutely divine to explore.

Anvil lookout is a 5 min short rough walk with a few stone steps (not suitable for push chairs) up to spectacular panoramic view which on a very windy day was exhilarating and only slightly scary - as was the 2+km unsealed busy road to get in/out in a small car only used to smooth roads.
