I recently visited the Blue Mountains and it was truly a highlight of my trip! The scenery is simply stunning, with towering sandstone cliffs, lush forests, and breathtaking views from every angle. We hiked the Three Sisters track and it was an exhilarating experience, with steep climbs and stunning vistas. The villages along the way, like Leura and Katoomba, are charming and full of character, with plenty of cafes, shops, and galleries to explore.

The views from Echo Point and Govetts Leap Lookout are not to be missed! And if you're feeling adventurous, take a scenic drive along the winding roads and enjoy the views from various lookout points.

Overall, the Blue Mountains are a must-visit destination for anyone traveling to Sydney. Whether you're a nature lover, photographer, or just looking for a day trip from the city, this place has something for everyone. Highly recommended!

Tips:

Wear comfortable hiking shoes and bring plenty of water and snacks. Be prepared for changing weather conditions and potential crowds on popular trails. Take your time and enjoy the views –...

Fav experience of all time in the blue mountains was scaling the parallel rock face by train, photo of Adam Haynes and I in front of the three sisters (I was wearing his glasses) 😎 a hired and paid for motorcycle ride up and down the highest hills (paid by my awesome dad Wayne and heading to the Bathurst races to watch the Indi 500 hungee from my moms family friend Margret and Stan Sameit and their son Greg. I’ve got the old school prints and scanned copies of pics… I’ll make note to add them for correct referencing.

Bridal Veil Falls in New South Wales, Australia, is a hidden gem for nature lovers. Tucked away in the Blue Mountains National Park, it offers a serene escape from city life. The falls cascade gracefully down a rock face, resembling a bridal veil, and create a mesmerizing sight. A short hike through the lush rainforest leads to a viewing platform, providing a perfect vantage point. The tranquil ambiance, soothing sound of flowing water, and vibrant greenery make it an ideal spot for picnics or simply unwinding in nature’s embrace. Bridal Veil Falls is a charming, lesser-known destination for those seeking natural beauty in New South Wales. Ample parking Free entry Disability...

An easy short walk to a great view. There are a fair few steps, but the total distance to the lookout is not more than 20 minutes one-way. Quicker if you don’t have little kids. The look put has a great view of the valley, and a good side view of the falls. Unfortunately the track to the bottom of the falls was blocked for maintenance. Lots of parking at Govet’s lookout.
