I’ve been to the blue mountains many times but never ventured in to the bush so this was a great first experience. It really felt worth the 20-30 minute round trip. The descent was maybe 10 minutes with two young kids in tow, going down was easy for grown ups but harder for kids. Coming back up was a struggle for me and I stopped to catch my breath a couple of times (if you’re out of shape be prepared for sore legs), my 5 year old was telling me to hurry up going back up! Almost 3 year old was challenged but determined. I wouldn’t take a child under 3 unless you are prepared to carry them if they can’t or won’t go on. Waterfall was beautiful, water was clear, super cold and refreshing. There’s no bins down there so if you bring any food make sure you bring bags or something to take your garbage with you. Great fun would go again. Very busy though so might try a weekday next time.

One of the hidden gems around. To feel the real beauty I would highly suggest reaching there around 6:30 AM.

Walked down many, many steps to reach this quite pretty pool and waterfall. Its pretty well trafficked, people kept showing up, so don't expect a quiet time to yourself. Although we did show up at at 3pm. Unfortunately others did not share the same respect for the pool, or to anybody else that was there. Just want to look at some water flowing down some rocks into a pool and some small mouth breathing troglodytes felt the need to throw rocks in and make the biggest splash possible. Can understand if there was nobody else there, then channel your inner hairy ape ancestor all you want, but if others are there, be considerate. The walk back up was not as bad as I was expecting and went by pretty quick.

The Pool of Siloam is located 3k from Beachport town centre. Just follow the Bowman Scene Drive It is seven times saltier than the sea and it is alleged to possess therapeutic assets. The pools depth although close to the sea does not fluctuate with the tides as its depth relies on soaks in the area.

The high salt content in the lake makes swimming very easy, as the water is extremely buoyant.

The pool has a range of facilities for visitors including change rooms, cold water showers, toilets and a picnic area. The pool is free to attend. A must for those wanting to relax.
