Yes it is one of my favourite places. If you are a new to this read below: The sand is very soft. At the entry, there is a car park. Stop and reduce the tyre pressure to (18psi to 15psi). Then get to the access way and drive without stop (keep it going nicely). At the beach, do not stop in the middle of nowhere - just get to a spot that has a plenty of space in front of you. Do not park near the water. Make sure you are approachable by other drivers to pull you out if you get stuck. Enjoy!

Well that was a great stop! I entered the sand dunes at Anna Bay by foot and walked around and over dunes, sometimes feeling like I am the only one there. Stunning dunes, beautiful spots. Only 1 star down as I can't get over how much rubbish was spread over the sand dunes. Wish people would bother to pick up just 3 pieces while walking around. I did and saw at least 2 other people cleaning up - thank you for that!

This park used to be a beautiful public resource. It's still a great beach, but for anyone interested in camping, it's all restricted to a couple of small camp spots all on top of each other now. The dunes are amazing but you can't access them anymore. The corrupt local council has turned the northern end into a sand mine for personal profit. Access is pretty easy these days.

Unforgettable experience! On Thur 17 Dec, after paid $33 for beach access permit at Williamtown Metro, deflated tyres to 20 Psi, our 4WD entered Stockton beach for good view, first time driving on sand. About 3:30pm, halfway to Anna Bay, our car was bogged after a short stop on waterfront. We’re grateful to Aussie young guys from two 4WD cars passing by who tirelessly helped us out of the trouble. The first car was bogged too when tried to tow us. Then the 2nd car joined in towing. Short after coming off, our car bogged again. The 2nd car saw my waving and returned to help us again. Our car was finally up and driving on after deflated tyres pressure to 10 Psi. We can not thank you enough, bright upbeat helpful Aussie,...

Wonderful place, and really good memory, I ve rented a car, and the renter told me that was 4wd, after travel all the. Way down from Anna bay to Newcastle, I got stuck 2 times and the last one too badly, but luckily the guys from the Blue montains 4wd association figute it out the problem, which was that my car was only 2wd so they help me to get out, from that hush situation.(God bless them).with exceptional accurate trick they towed my car out of the sand. Thanks a lot, my birthday got an extra good memory...
