I know this committee would have done a lot of work before this weekend. And I applaud them for that. but as a local that has been in every hookup except 2 because my son had cancer this is by far the worst hookup ever. By changing it to you have to weigh in a fish to be able to win the major prize you have destroyed this competition. I have noticed attendance crowds have been down drastically in both locations and after talking to food and drink vendors most will probably not come back and as I usually volunteer for a local vendor/ community service at the hookup this has been devastating for them Today Sunday we had the Boyne river so crowded you needed traffic lights and not many people were catching a fish big enough to weigh in.
so I fear the present committee has destroyed a great event that bought in a lot of money for the community like the old saying goes if it ain’t broke...

Having the courtesy bus was excellent. I'd suggest better food truck options as the food was a bit limited mostly deep fried stuff.
