City living can get very grey at times. The botanical gardens at Mt. Coot-tha was a blissful escape and a much closer drive than expected. Upon arrival we realised that it is also accessible via public transport. Brisbane weather is allowing the trend of biophilic cityscapes however, in these gardens I felt immersed in the green cleanse I needed. The Mt. Coot-tha Botanical Gardens are a must-stop for all that enter Brissy. You can get lost in the outer reaches of the gardens, or stick to the paved paths for ease of access. The cafe also has great views as well as a descent menu, if you need to feed the hangry or need a caffeine hit (iced coffee like Vietnamese coffee!).
