Amazing gardens!

The Mt Coot-tha Botanic Gardens are a true treasure just minutes from Brisbane’s CBD. From the moment you arrive, the calm and natural beauty of the space welcomes you in. Each section of the gardens offers something unique and memorable. The Japanese Garden is a peaceful highlight—beautifully designed with a sense of harmony that invites quiet reflection. The Tropical Display Dome feels like stepping into another world, lush and warm with exotic plant life.

Wandering through the Australian Rainforest section is like a mini adventure, rich with native flora and the soothing sounds of nature. The Arid Zone Garden contrasts beautifully with its hardy, sculptural plants, while the Bonsai House showcases the intricate art of bonsai with stunning specimens and helpful info panels. The Fern House and Lagoon are also worth a visit, perfect spots to pause and take in the surroundings.

Everything is thoughtfully laid out and well-signed, making it easy to navigate and enjoy at your own pace. Whether you’re visiting solo, with family, or friends, it’s an ideal place to unwind and learn. The gardens are a true celebration of plant life and a perfect day out for locals and visitors alike. Highly...

City living can get very grey at times. The botanical gardens at Mt. Coot-tha was a blissful escape and a much closer drive than expected. Upon arrival we realised that it is also accessible via public transport. Brisbane weather is allowing the trend of biophilic cityscapes however, in these gardens I felt immersed in the green cleanse I needed. The staff at information were super inviting and enthusiastic setting a positive tone prior our walk through. And the intagramable bio dome gave us...

The Mt. Coot-tha Botanical Gardens are a must-stop for all that enter Brissy. You can get lost in the outer reaches of the gardens, or stick to the paved paths for ease of access. The cafe also has great views as well as a descent menu, if you need to feed the hangry or need a caffeine hit (iced coffee like Vietnamese coffee!). The bonsai house is always fantastic too, but is being upgraded, so check it out when its done! Activities for all ages and abilities, highly...

A wonderful location for a quality cafe and eatery. It seems as though its full potential is not realised. Service is quite slow and clumsy in its setup. For example if you want to buy an ice-cream you have to first line up at the food counter where you are given a docket which you then take to the ice-cream counter line. It's a system thought up by an account I think 🤔🤔. The staff were all young hard working people and very busy but polite and friendly. Coffee was very nice too
