There is a short 10 minute hike done to Kings Beach. It's pretty steep but we'll maintained. The beach is an unofficial nude beach and a favorite of the GLBT+ crowd. The beach is pretty shallow and the waves are strong breaking near the shore. On a weekday after summer break it was pretty empty and there were a bunch of great spots to sit under the palms at the edge of the sand. The parking is free but limited so get there early.

Broken Head Beach is a tranquil and serene place, characterized by its cleanliness and peaceful atmosphere. I have very fond memories of my time there, enjoying the serene surroundings and the pristine environment. It's a perfect spot to relax and unwind, away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

Great place to visit for a private beach day but they've halved the available parking, so its really hard to get parking but at least the road leading to kings beach is now sealed making it a less dusty walk. If you go, go early, and if the car parks are taken hang around a little till some one leaves. You can usually see surfies packing up, so just wait till they've finished and you'll have yourself a carpark. If you go to the paid parking area, DON'T forget your paid parking slip to display on the dashboard. It's in the hidden slot at the bottom of the parking meter. It's pay and display. Parking is $4 per hour, card only, and the last parking fine I got in 2017 was $187.00. $4 per hour, while steep, is cheaper than the fine....
