The final piece of of this history trail for me and what’s beautiful evening for it. This is the last stand of the 2 men that killed innocent people on the train to Silverton, New Years Day 1915. There’s plenty to read around the town about this sad event and plenty in the Railway Museum. This spot is only small and takes a few minutes to visit, but if you go at sunset you’re treated a great show. Small amount of parking, a picnic table and bins

This was a great short stop to explore, being a historical site of a gun battle, with some story information boards and an ice cream cart replica here too. Great views from the historical site and a pleasant place to go for a walk. No signs to advise that dogs are not allowed, so we took ours who liked to explore this small area which was great.

White Rocks historical site is right on the edge of town. It has a sheltered bench with seats and a replica of an old milk cart. But most importantly it is a sight of the only combat fighting on Australian soil during war which happened in 2018 when 2 Turkish men attacked train carriages and then fled to this spot and had a gun fight that...
