What a serene beach to enjoy. If you like calmness and privacy this is the best beach in Byron Bay. The Main beach was too crowded so we went to this beach to enjoy our romantic time. One caution - this beach is not monitored by any lifegurad and the waves are quite big. Perfect for surfing but of you go there just for swimming then stay close to the shore. Also it required some walk within the Arakwal national reserve to reach this beach.

Stunning beach and one the good ones to take your dog when in Byron Bay. Most of the beach is off leash although there are parts where on leash is required. The water is stunning and there's some shaded spots under the trees along the route which is great. Lengthy walks along the beaches and pleasant views of the lighthouse too. Can get busy during peak times and there's plenty of dogs there usually for your dog to socialise with.

Nice beach starting just south of the Cape Byron Headlands. Compared to Byron Beach in the north it is much less crowded. The northern part is in walking distance from the town center of Byron Bay. As i've only been to the northern part of the beach, i can only speak for that but there were no live guards around when i went there so you'll need to be careful when going into the ocean.

Feelings of peaceful; As you stroll run or skip even surf or bodyboard along this glorious Aussie beach. Choose a nice spot to sit with the family quiet a safe beach on a good day to bring everyone down to; from making sandcastles to a splash in the water this coastline has got it all; even wallabies out in the bushland, as you walk up the track to get to this prime spot.

Gorgeous beach, about 6,5km long, nearly empty. We spotted some dolphins there, swimming and jumping amongst the surfs, really breathtaking. There’s no shadow anywhere so if you need some, better bring your own shades. There’s a car parking just next to the beach, costs 4AU$/hour, accepts credit cards.

Tallow Beach: A serene stretch of unspoiled shoreline, where the sea and sky embrace in perfect harmony. This is metered parking ($5 per hour) with toilet facilities and picnic spots. It is a popular beach for surfers.
