Tallow beach is clean and dog friendly. It is 20-25min walk or 5min drive from Ingenia Holidays Byron bay. You can enter Sufolk Park Village to access this beach and there is also a small park with toilets. There is a close shop when you enter Sufolk Park where you can buy food.

One of my most favourite beaches in Australia. It’s absolutely amazing! Very quiet place, almost no people around. Both water and beach are very clean. Squeaky sand. You can also spot kangaroos here!🦘

I walked from Lanteen Lane which took me about 30m to get there. It was a highlight for my trip watching the sunrise. The beach was very clean and beautiful. Very few people during winter

TALLOW BEACH - MUST SEE

Tallow Beach is a picturesque beach located in Byron Bay, New South Wales, Australia. It is a stunning stretch of coastline known for its natural beauty, serenity, and scenic surroundings. Here's some information about Tallow Beach:

Location: Tallow Beach is situated to the south of Byron Bay's town center, adjacent to Cape Byron State Conservation Area. It can be accessed by taking Suffolk Park Road and turning onto Alcorn Street, which leads to beach access points.

Natural Beauty: Tallow Beach is renowned for its unspoiled natural beauty. It features a long, sandy shoreline backed by lush vegetation and rolling sand dunes. The beach is flanked by Arakwal National Park, adding to its scenic appeal.

Secluded Atmosphere: Compared to the more popular Main Beach in Byron Bay, Tallow Beach offers a more secluded and tranquil atmosphere. It is a quieter alternative for those seeking a peaceful beach experience away from the crowds.

Surfing: Tallow Beach is popular among surfers due to its reliable surf breaks. The beach is known for its consistent waves, making it suitable for experienced surfers. It's important to note that Tallow Beach is not patrolled by lifeguards, so caution should be exercised when entering the water.

Dog-Friendly: Tallow Beach is one of the designated dog-friendly beaches in the Byron Bay area. Dog owners can bring their furry friends to enjoy the sand and water, provided they are kept on a leash and under control.

Walks and Nature Trails: Tallow Beach is part of the Cape Byron Walking Track, which extends along the coastline. Visitors can embark on scenic walks that take them through coastal rainforest, offering opportunities to spot wildlife and enjoy panoramic views.

Clothing-Optional Section: The southern end of Tallow Beach, known as Tyagarah Beach, has a clothing-optional area. This section is popular among naturists and offers a more liberating beach experience for those who prefer clothing-optional recreation.

Parking and Facilities: Tallow Beach has parking available near the beach access points, but it can get busy during peak times. Facilities such as public toilets and showers may be limited, so it's advisable to come prepared with necessary supplies.

Tallow Beach offers a serene and scenic coastal experience for visitors looking to relax, surf, enjoy nature walks, or spend time with their furry companions. Whether you're seeking solitude, a surfing adventure, or a leisurely stroll along the shoreline, Tallow Beach provides a beautiful setting to enjoy the natural wonders...

+angus keenan You must be kidding? Or you work for the local council? The parking is $4 per hour at Tallows Beach, which is a total rip-off. The beach is nice, not really a beach for swimming though, and there's no shade. It's not easily accessible without a car. Charging $4 per hour is a slap in the face. The council up there are out of control with their parking regime. They now have patrol cars cruising the streets of Byron Bay scanning number plates of parked cars. This increases their parking fine revenue because they can check more cars more often. "Welcome to Byron Bay. Enter your car rego and credit card, then spend what money you have left...

What a serene beach to enjoy. If you like calmness and privacy this is the best beach in Byron Bay. The Main beach was too crowded so we went to this beach to enjoy our romantic time. One caution - this beach is not monitored by any lifegurad and the waves are quite big. Perfect for surfing but of you go there just for swimming then stay close to the shore. Also it required some walk within the Arakwal national reserve to...
