This is actually a return walk either from Charlotte Pass - Guthega, or like what we did Guthega - Charlotte Pass. The walk is 18km, approx. 5 hours return. If you just want to do one way (9km, 3hr), make sure you organise a shuttle at the end of the walk. There’s no toilet or hiding places along the walk: toilets are only at Charlotte pass or guthega. The walk is moderate grade. Almost straight with minimum ascending. The views are worth the walk although can be monotonous and boring for 5 hours. It is, of course, also fantastic as a daylight vantage point. Much to see, and it is extremely well signed.
Parking can be hard at busy times, but the experience is worth it.
Beware however, it can get AWFULLY cold. Dress appropriately and carry extra...
