The walk up to the lighthouse wasn't too bad. I'm a decrepit old sod with a walking disability, but it was doable. The hardest part was the first 10 minutes up the wooden path. As you get closer to the lighthouse the ocean becomes more visible. There are so many whales near the coast and out to sea. I don't think you can see them in the images, but there were around half a dozen just floating off the coast. There is a reef off the coast which is visible in one image.

The beach fishing looks a lot better near the lighthouse. I'm going to try a few hundred meters south of the lighthouse next time...

What a fantastic spot. Well worth the walk up the hill. The old fishing shack and the look out to the sea near it are good to stop at as well. The view around view around the light house is spectacular. We saw dolphins and a turtle when looking over the edge which was a real treat. We parked near the gate on the south side beach when it was low tide so getting to the start of the walk up was easy. A pity there isn't a toilet around for the people to use, but then this speaks to the whole area. No wonder tp can be found all...

On a weekend you might struggle to find a spot to park close to the path, as it gets really busy and is a popular swimming...
