I recently visited George Wildlife Park Zoo and had an incredible experience! Here are some highlights:
Pros: Amazing Animal Exhibits:** The zoo has a wide variety of animals from all over the world. The Savannah Plains exhibit was my favorite, with its majestic elephants and lions. Beautifully Maintained Grounds:** The enclosures are spacious and natural-looking, and the entire park is clean and well-kept. Educational Programs: The animal encounters and guided tours are both fun and informative. Great for kids and adults alike. Family-Friendly Facilities: There are plenty of shaded rest areas, clean restrooms, and various dining options, including some great food trucks.
Cons: Crowds: It can get pretty crowded, especially on weekends, so I recommend visiting early in the morning. Parking: Parking can be a bit challenging during peak hours, so plan accordingly.
Overall, George Wildlife Park Zoo is a fantastic destination for a day out. Whether you're a wildlife enthusiast or looking for a family-friendly activity, this zoo has something for everyone....
Read moreGorge Wildlife Park is a wonderful place to visit with family. You can easily spend 1–2 hours here enjoying the animals, especially if you love interacting with and caring for them. The park is well maintained, and you can feed some of the animals. There’s also a shop where you can buy souvenirs and animal food, plus a cafe offering meals and drinks.
Parking is convenient, with three car parks available, one right at the entrance and two across the road—so finding a spot is not difficult. Entry prices are fair, and for an additional fee you can hold a koala at 11:30 am or 2:30 pm, which is a popular highlight.
Walking paths are in place, though some areas have slopes and stairs, so keep this in mind if you’re visiting with prams or wheelchairs. There are several spots where you can sit and enjoy your own food, making it a relaxed outing.
One improvement could be adding more information boards with animal details, which would make the experience even more engaging.
Overall, it’s a great family-friendly destination that balances animal encounters, facilities, and...
Read moreWhat an amazing place. We are local and love seeing a family run business providing such a place for tourist to our great state. We were 1/3 through the park when my wife dislocated her knee. After popping it back in she hobbled back towards the entrance/kiosk when met by staff. Matt (the owners son) stayed with my wife the whole time. The owner called an ambulance and was amazing. It was a warm day and even provided us with drinks and the offer of food. We had a great chat learning about the park, the animals and genuinely getting to know each other albeit while my wife was in pain. My teenage kids (19 & 16) loved the visit, interacting with the animals and having a good time. This business went above and beyond in their service and level of care given. They gave us a gift card to the value of our entry fee inviting us back. We will be back - and we will bring plenty of others with us too!!!!! If you haven’t been before or it’s been a while since you have do yourself a favour and get up to the park. This should be business of the...
