Response after the owner reply ( original feedback is down the bottom) As a chef and someone who works in hospitality, I believe in giving honest feedback with respect — and that’s exactly what I did. I left a factual review, with photos, because our steaks were served well-done instead of medium rare, and the sides we received were not what we ordered.

But what truly shocked me was the owner's original response, where he wrote: "We are NOT an Asian takeaway as your attitude required!" That comment was racist, unprofessional, and has since been quietly edited out — but it was there, and it was deeply offensive.

Then, when my partner left her own calm and honest review, he responded by calling our feedback “vexatious” — dismissing us entirely instead of listening and taking responsibility.

No customer should have to deal with this kind of hostility, let alone racism. In a multicultural country like Australia, this kind of behaviour should never be tolerated.

Please read this before you visit. Feedback should be met with professionalism, not aggression. People deserve to be treated with respect — always.

By the comments I looked this place looks good hence come down to try after a walk at the zoo. But this is definitely not want I order, I order a medium rare t bone steak, this is like well done to me what they serve and I have mash instead of the chips I order. I’ve never reviewed a business before but Cudlee Creek Caravan Park is so terrible I felt compelled to leave a review to warn people before they stay there. Where do I start? The parks permanent residents live in absolute squalor. I have no problem with people needing a place to live but I was very surprised at the awful conditions these people were living in, yet somehow the owner allows it. The residents we did have the delight of meeting were either drunk creepy old men or people that were clearly on drugs. Did not feel like a very safe and relaxing place!

Furthermore, the bathrooms are very outdated and filthy. There appears to be huge piles of rubbish dumped in the creek, surely done illegally. The caravan park itself is just overall very run down and a creepy place, felt more like a homeless congregation than a caravan park. If you are travelling, particularly alone or with kids, don’t stop there. I can’t say much about the pub side of things as I didn’t go in there but it appears based on the reviews I’ve read that the owner can’t take honest feedback and lives in denial that his caravan park is horrible. We stayed here for 3 nights over the weekend, and we booked a campsite. The first night was fine, nothing special, but hot showers and a nice location. The second night, after a very long day of work, the showers were flooded. Brown water filled the girls' bathrooms, and the stink of urine was horrendous. There was a sign on the door saying that the park was aware of the problem an that a plumber would be over in the morning. However, when we returned on Sunday night, after skipping showers the night before, the bathroom was in an even worse state. The smell was so bad. There was poo in every toilet, and no toilet paper. You couldn't even brush your teeth in there. The smell was so bad. The showers were full of brown water. It was just awful. We couldn't get out of there fast enough on Monday. It was gross.
