There are a number of animal farms/petting zoos aimed at families and tourists that I would rate four stars. This is NOT one of them. $5.00 for a pony ride once around a small arena. Twice would have been at least acceptable. The trailer ride is free but extremely non-eventful. There is a preponderance of ducks and geese, two large pigs, kangaroos completely disinterested in any additional food because they've already been offered so much. The children love cuddling guinea pigs and rabbits. Penelope the python is brought out of her cage for a 2 minute talk and a quick touch of the skin if you so desire. Generally the entire place needs a facelift. It is faded and unappealing. The gentleman and his wife who run the facility are charming, but this outing was a...

Great experience during our visit during last Christmas break. Very informative and fun activities for kids. A family owned business and maintaining good standards of service and trying to give the best of experience. Little off before coming to Goolwa town and near the Goolwa Skydiving. We were there with 3 boys and they all loved the Python experience and small open jeep ride. And they got lots of rabbits and guinea pigs as that was a big highlight. Can spend more than 1 hr and they got a small coffee shop inside which we didn't had time to try. Lovely and helpful staff where you get an outside sitting area to have your snaks and relax. Must see if you got young kids...

We have just stayed at the Goolwa petting farms converted Victorian train carriage for a few days whilst visiting family in the Adelaide area, and I must say what a great experience the time was that we spent there. The farm itself is just a sort drive within 10 minutes to Goolwa town and beaches so you are not far away from all the local amenities but can experience the rural feeling when you stay there. Alan, Caroline and all of their family were all lovely and always had a smile and had time to explain things to do in the area whilst we were there. The farm itself was fantastic with a great variety of animals to look...

Such a lovely way to spend a morning or afternoon with the kids ❤ Entry prices are very reasonable and there are so many animals to see and interact with. My daughter didn't want to leave! Everything from pigs and chickens to snakes and horses. Hand feed doves, Guinea pigs and rabbits and pat goats, sheep and emu. Currently no horse rides due to covid but there were so many other things to do and the the staff who own and run the farm are absolutely lovely! If you haven't visited yet, do it (esp if you are an animal lover) and if you've done it, do it again cos each time there is something new to see or appreciate.

We only had 1 hour to spend here which was enough for a quick look at all the animals plus lots of time in the guinea pig/rabbit enclosure playing and feeding the animals. We also enjoyed the trailor ride and seeing baby emus and the snake. The 5 kids in our group (aged 1.5-9) had a great time - wish we had longer to enjoy the outdoor picnic area and playground. Lovely family run farm and the animals looked well cared for and actually enthusiastic for the animal feed (unlike some other farm experiences where they are likely overfed or sick of the pellets)
