Goolwa Air - Flight Training, Scenic Flights & Aircraft Charter — Attraction in Goolwa

Flying here has been a positive experience and real pleasure. I completed my RA-AUS conversion here to diversify my flying. What really stood out was the genuine passion the instructors have for their work.

It seems many flight schools are becoming increasingly overly-profit driven and, with too many flight instructors becoming focused on airline minimums rather than teaching quality. It is refreshing to know here, that is not the case. Every lesson went beyond just ticking the boxes. Tom was exceptional with my training, with Leo and the rest of the instructors equally clear, patient and supportive. I always left feeling like I was learning skills for the real world, and not just training to pass the test.

The Fleurieu scenery is a bonus, pricing is very competitive and the aircraft are nice and well maintained. While I'm off interstate to the airlines, this place is exceptional and 100% worth the drive from wherever you are in Adelaide or in the region. I look forward to continuing to fly here in my time off.

We booked on short notice for a Monday. We were in a Victor Harbor caravan park. The weekend seemed busy. We were so happy to get a flight at such short notice. The flight was amazing! Took off from Goolwa, flew at a medium altitude to Mannum then went at 500ft down the river. Saw some of the flood damage. We had a great flight up to Mannum and then following the river down to Lake Alexandrinas, over the Coorong and back to Goolwa. Great to see the countryside from the air, and the lake and Coorong were amazing. The plane was quite new so surprisingly quiet and comfortable so no problems at all spending 1 to 2 hours in one of these.
