It's a beautiful little sandy beach located about 2 km from Deniliquin city centre on Edward river NSW. I have visited this beach few times and my recent visit to this beach was on 27/28 December 2022. This beach is renowned for camping, boating, jet-skiing, fishing etc. It can also be very busy during holiday seasons and long weekends. Side note/little advice: do not take your vehicles right to the edge of this beach even if the surface appears dry and hard (some areas are muddy, others are sandy). It can be very deceptive. In January 2022 I did exactly the same and learnt the hard way (and felt like an idiot 🤣). It was a sunny hot day, the temperature was about 35 degrees C, the beach surface looked very dry/hard. So I drove in and the surface felt perfect. But when I tried to drive away my 4wd vehicle was bogged down real bad. Fortunately 2 great guys (Chris and Mark from Tullamarine VIC) helped us and rescued us with a tow, from this boggy mess. Many, many Thanks to those two great guys for their supreme efforts on that day... they were the real life Heroes. I am not a Priest but I still say -- God bless those two great blokes! As such, do park your vehicles on solid cemented surfaces only, or be prepared for the experience of a possible messy bogging! 😃

We walked to Mcleans beach along the Edward river from Willoughby Beach where we were camping and it was a really nice walk filled with info signs and history. Apparently Mcleans beach was a local learn to swim spot which one local person managed over 100 yrs ago after several people drowned. You can read the history on the board when you get there (no spoilers!).

A nice little place next the river. Plenty of space for the kids to play. BBQ facilities next to the river. Toilets available on site. Plenty of parking. A lot of bird life there too. Good sized beach.
