Awesome location for camping, short and long walks, worth the lookout to see split rocks. 4x4 car can go on the beach and not too much sand so don't worry about getting bogged. Best spot for camping with friends and family. toilets are available. Road is not paved so don't drive a sedan or hatch back, 4x4 car is must. Surfing friendly beach.

This was a lovely short walk, which was really close to the Diamond Head campground. The path was clear and quite easy to walk on, so I'd consider it reasonably suitable for small children, although you may want to be careful at the lookout, as they may slip past the guard rails.
