Very surprised about the ordinary facilities at the complex. This isn't a reflection on the coaches which we didnt have contact with, however the entire facility has aged and looks tired. Wouldnt say it was world class, not even close. The two young athletes that conducted the tour were a pleasure to listen to and a credit to the institute.

Yeah, it's OK if you have 2 hours to kill. A little bit of sports history, a little bit of a walking tour, and a hands-on play area. You can't play with the nice equipment, but you can take photos from the gallery. Nothing that YouTube couldn't bring you up to speed on in 15 minutes.

What a fanstic place. A must do while you're in Canberra. Great opportunities to do tours and see what many of our Olympic athletes have to go through to represent Australia. There is always a heap of school kids around during the day but they move through quickly.

The AIS tour is definitely worthwhile. Ruby White (an AIS Athlete) headed our tour. She was extremely knowledgeable and gave us a great insight into the lives of those living and training on site. The tour also incorporates Sportex, an interactive area where you are able to complete sporting challenges and learn interesting sporting facts - set around a great collection of Australian sporting memorabilia. You could spend ages in there. The facility is located reasonably close to Canberra City Centre - only about a 10 minute car drive. There is a cafe on site as well as a well presented gift shop. Great...

Such a great place to see Australia’s sporting history and successes.

Daily tours of the site, ability to see the athletes training, facilities they use and have a go yourself with an interactive area to muck around in.

Perfect for kids, families. Small cafe onsite, gift shop and outdoor area to eat, relax.

Loved seeing the timeline of past athletes that competed in the games or competitions.

Tour guides are so knowledgeable, personable (ours Tim was an athlete himself, Volleyball team) they’ll joke with you and make the...

Fabulous. I did a guided tour of the facility. 2 young sportsmen, a volleyball player, and a soccer player were our guides. They had excellent knowledge of the facility and were able to answer all questions from the group. The sports simulation room was a hit with the young ones on the tour. They all had heaps of fun, and it was lovely to watch them, and many of the parents get involved in the simulations. Coffee at the cafe afterwards was very good. Excellent gift/souvenir shop at which I bought a number of items for my very...
