Black Mountain Peninsula — Attraction in District of Canberra Central

This is a beautiful spot for a picnic, swim or walk around the peninsula. This is still the best place in Canberra to watch the sunset over the water on the West Bank. Play equipment for the kids and a cordoned off area for kids to swim in the water. This is great for a stand up paddle boat or canoe paddle. There are two boat sheds down here. Watch out for cyclists on the path! There are bbqs, tables and toilets to make this a great place to picnic...

So glad that this is so easy to get to and spend the day without traffic or commercialised business. BBQ areas, kids play grounds and water views with plenty of space.
