An area once used to demonstrate WW1 trench warfare. Not a lot to see but some signage around with explanations. A 600 meter walk from the wetlands car park. The wetlands area is designated as a no dogs/pets area.

An interesting historical visit. There are signposts with history and map of the area and you can walk around where the trenches were with signposts pointing out each section. There is a recreated, above ground wood trench to walk through. Beware there was a wasp nest inside when I visited so be careful when entering. It's also a beautiful location so a nice walk with views of cows, parliament and telstra tower. Park and walk 10 minutes from the...

Very little to actually see, I honestly can't understand what other reviewers are referring to. We followed the path marked "Trench Trail", which only goes for about 1 minute, and saw about 5 informational signs about the trenches, but of the trenches themselves you can't see a thing. There is a small mock up of a trench section fully above ground near the end, but it looks half finished and adds...

A hidden gem. Although they haven't excavated the trenches, they are marked, well described and there is an above ground mock-up of a trench. For any who thought trenches were just a single line dug in the ground, I'd suggest a visit, it will...
