The Dorrigo Rainforest Centre gives you so many interesting facts of this world-heritage area. From the diversity of rainforest plants, animals, birds through to insects. There is a lot of arts, craft, books, handmade goods & memorabilia you can look at and buy. Only $2/adult donation to look at centre, go on skywalk above the canopy & a steepish ramp leads you to the forest floor to go on short or long walks through the area including seeing 2x waterfalls. The cafe attached to the centre, overlooking the forest canopy, has a range of food to choose from for lunch or morning/afternoon tea. The centre includes an interesting shop with info, books, gifts, artworks and crafts, a café, a short nature film and interactive displays about the local wildlife and forests. There is a picnic area and some shady (but steep) walks of varying lengths too, which look good but we didn’t explore them today. Lovely and helpful staff. The falls walls are fantastic, slightly hilly - it’s all on a solid path, so should be doable for most. Both waterfalls are lovely and I really enjoyed the number of signs you had telling me how I could distinctively identify each tree and their native uses and significance.
