The Dorrigo Rainforest Centre gives you so many interesting facts of this world-heritage area. From the diversity of rainforest plants, animals, birds through to insects. There is a lot of arts, craft, books, handmade goods & memorabilia you can look at and buy. Only $2/adult donation to look at centre, go on skywalk above the canopy & a steepish ramp leads you to the forest floor to go on short or long walks through the area including seeing 2x waterfalls. The cafe attached to the centre, overlooking the forest canopy, has a range of food to choose from for lunch or morning/afternoon tea. There is some grassed areas infront of the centre with picnic tables and bbq if you want to bring your own food to enjoy.

A delightful place to visit, and a beautiful sky walk at tree tops level to take in the impressive forest views. We enjoyed just pausing to li There are some longer ten to the birds in the tree canopy and to watch an eagle float on the air currents at a distance. The centre includes an interesting shop with info, books, gifts, artworks and crafts, a café, a short nature film and interactive displays about the local wildlife and forests. There is a picnic area and some shady (but steep) walks of varying lengths too, which look good but we didn’t explore them today. Entry is by gold coin donation, which can be taken electronically also. Very good value for a beautiful place to visit with such good amenities.

Really great little discovery centre, with circuit walks (approx 2 hrs) and rainforest canopy lookout. Parking is easy. The discovery centre is informative and has a good café for food and drinks and souvenir shop. You can learn a lot from the displays and some local art is on sale as well. The walks have waterfalls along them and meanders around both big and small trees and rainforest shrub. Information boards a long the route. Well shaded mostly with some benches. We saw lots of great birds and insects and a big Lyrebird was our highlight. Toilets are clean and there is are some picnic spots close by as well. It has everything and is well worth a visit.

Great visitor centre, really informative.

Make sure you watch the video in the new gallery room which shows you amazing footage of the world you’re about to step into.

Lovely and helpful staff. The falls walls are fantastic, slightly hilly - it’s all on a solid path, so should be doable for most. Both waterfalls are lovely and I really enjoyed the number of signs you had telling me how I could distinctively identify each tree and their native uses and significance. I also loved how you shared the native and European histories intermittently throughout and often many plants had a native and European uses. I Left the centre feeling inspired, interested...
